Only at that speed and RPM, if I let my foot off the gas, it gives a little jerk. If I apply to the gas again at the same speed/RPM same thing. No problems at any other speeds.... Any ideas?

Could be worn lock up clutch in AT................use Consult to correlate rpm with AT action.

45 mph is often a funky speed inthat the engine [1500 rpm] is on the ragged edge of not creating enough torque especially with ac on or going up a mild hill or just changing elevation.

8.5 year old transmission even with only 70k probably way past the 2nd time to have the ATF changed?

Or it could be a dirty intake system. Could be expired ATF. Who knows? This is why the Sticky in the IOM Forum (where this type of aberrant operational question should be posted) requres a recent maintenance history be included in every initial post. You don't even tell us the mileage.

1500 rpm is lugging it if you are not going downhill or a constant speed on a very level road I (something most drivers cannot modulate the throttle accurately enough to do).

It takes about another 500 -750 rpm to get similar performance from a VH41DE as from a VH45DE.

might be a clogged transmission filter have you flushed it? could also be a transmission mount (probably not though as you would feel the jerk at other speeds as well when the transmission is switching)

i would try some basic maintenance (cleaning things up) and inspect your exhaust and trans mount and go from there.
