auto SOHC to 5 speed DOHC

i am looking for some advice...i have had my car in my parents garage for some time now i cant seem to get her running. i believe i have done every thing that the tech pages say to do and somethings still fuzzy? I have installed a 93(DOHC) engin in my 89 240. the DOHC ECU should work right? do i have to plug anything into the clutch peddle for the car to start? yeah i know some of these questions are dumb, but i am getting angry and need a little advice!

plug anything into the clutch? no just turn the key and tell us what happens. if nothing happens take pictures and post em.

I think he means the clutch safety switch but if it was an auto and he wired the neutral safety switch to on all the time then it shouldn't be a problem. We need more info, like if it cranks, has spark, has compression and is spraying fuel.
