you know whats worse, they threw a blanket over the wreck with Williamson still inside, and finished the race.

Back in those times the safety crews were nothing like we have today. Although I would have still tried to do something.

Check out how ineffective the old extinguisher is... Modern fire suppression equipment is light-years more advanced than that...God bless the one crew member for risking his own a$$ to help...

Man trying to help is another racer and one of his good friends. I cant remember his name but ESPN did a whole story on this video.
