Some new rims for the y34, YAY!

I got some new wheels for the M. They are Lexion 201's by Rays. They are 20x8.5 in the front and 20x9.5 in the rear. I didnt really want chrome but I got such a deal on the rims I had to do it. I even had the shop hook up the Tire pressure sensors for me.

I am overall pleased with the look but since they were not custom ordered for the car they arent exactly flush to the fenders. I think im going to put a 15 mil spacer on the front and a 10 mil spacer on the rear.

The springs are set to arrive at the end of this month. I got the ESPELIR springs from a friend who works for the importer.

After that the car needs a kit, not sure how fast that will come but soon I hope.

Here is what i hope the car will come out with the springs that will get here at the end of the month.

They are for the y34 in japan and acording to my guy they should work just fine. There is a very negligible difference in weights on the jp and us models. I will let you know how they work out. If you want a set i may be able to get another.

Not usually a fan of Rims that have so much surface area but I actually like those and the way they look on the car. Good choice, nice looking ride!

STORM TROOPER!!! Nice PS Job, but listen.... help me understand what these spacers are for, plus what is your definition of "flush" I hear this a lot and I'm curious to what your definition of flush is. And, I hope it comes out just like the pic

Perfect example of "flush". What i did on my car as I was told to by my friend at the rim place.

I hung a string with weight at the bottom from the edge of the fender and then measures how far the furthest point out on the rim is from the string. This give you the correct size spacer to get the rim "flush". For my car and wheel set up it was 15mm in the rear and 20mm in the front. This will also depend on how your car is lowered and if the rim needs to "tuck" inside the fender. I am hoping to have no wheel gap and will be rolling my fenders if need be. I am going to wait to order the sapcers until I get the car lowered and then remeasure.

I think that's called fender interference.

Funny that no one ever takes a picture of the wheels in use! I guess it's the obsession with static appearance over dynamic performance.

Hopefully they are the forged Rays so they are strong and not much heavier than stock.

Car looks great! What kind of wheels are those? What size tires did you go with? I think the white car with the chrome wheels looks good.

You stated to got a great deal on these and couldn't turn them down, do you mind posting what you paid for them.

Also you should throw some tint up on the bad boy, will make that white car and those chrome rims pop even more.

The rims are Lexion by Rays 201's. In Japan they are called Arthur Exchange. They are 20x8.5 +38 in the fronts and 20x9.5 +39 in the rear. The tires are toyo T1R's. They are 245/35/20 in the front and 275/35/20 in the rears.

I do plan on tinting the windows.

I can't really say the price I got the rims for because I got them from a friend who works for the importer.

Ok here is the low down, the are a 40mm drop and They are 3.8 / 8.7 for the spring rates.

To get some near you call Kenny at GT Spec 631-586-3500. Tell him Brian at Mackin Sent You.

40mm.... That is almost 1.6 inches, correct? With your offset and tire sizes you may have an issue, plus you are running a higher and wider tire than I am. Start rolling your fenders and i doubt if they can allign it back to spec with a 1.6 drop. I hope I'm wrong! I'll eat my words if I have to, but Good luck my man

I'm sure you've seen this, but.. ..my rears at 1inch or 25.4mm

Ill let you know how they go. From everything I have figured with measuring etc it looks like i should end up with the perfect drop for me. I am looking for as close to no wheels gap as possible.

Yah man,
40mm? it is low.

This is what you would get with a 40-45mm drop.

My suspension is a little stiffer than stock, not mushy at all. I love it. Even with my tires, i cant even squeeze my pinky finger ,

Muy bueno . I like it and after looking at that I've come to realize that you are after the full slammed look I think the painted lower trim would be well worth the time and $
