The parking brake setting could cause this, but it is set at the handle not at the individual wheels. If the tension was set too tight it should be too tight for both sides, unless the passenger side cable was stretched. When you replaced the brake calipers and rotors, did you just do the drivers side rear or all both sides? If you only did the drivers side rear it could be a problem with the other calipers sticking since this would cause decreased wear in those pads. Also, do you notice any sideways pull from the car under braking (especially towards the passenger side)? This also indicates stcking calpiers on that side of the vehicle.

I inspected the parking brake cable at the rear tires and the driver's side is tighter than the passenger side. with the ebrake off, the passenger side has slack while the drivers side does not. i replaced both rear calipers.

I would try re-adjusting the parking brake lever as per the FSM and see where that puts you. I could be just a bit tight causing the one cable to stay tight even when the lever is down. The passenger side cable is more than likely stretched or somthing else might be snagging.

so did you ever find the source of the problem? My 96 240sx has the same problem and I've went to many different places, but am still not able to find the problem. About to do another quick pad replacement job now.

No, I never found the problem. I took it to a brake place and they wanted to replace the calipers again. i never found any kinks in the metal lines and could not see the rubber hoses collapsing anywhere. not sure what it is.

i guess i should get someone to watch the rubber brake hose while i pump brake.

My ''97 T&C pulls to the right under moderate to hard braking. The front disc pads, rotors and calipers have all been replaced, along with the rear shoes. Also, the brakes ''seem'' to not be as efficient as they once were.

Optional Information: 1997 Chrysler T&C 3.8L

Already Tried: New disc pads, calipers and rotors. New rear shoes. System has been bled twice. Customer (name blocked for privacy) Status: Closed Value: CA$17 AnswerAugust 05 3:02 p.m. (10 minutes and 49 seconds later) REPLIED

Is a brake dragging? I suspect the left front brake hose is collapsing internally. That would cause the symptoms of what you are experiencing.

turned out to be dry caliper pins. they move easily but had no grease on them. as soon as i greased them, may caliper piston started to hit pads for first time. piston was covered in rust from never making contact with pad.
