I got some LED's from AUTOLUMINATION. The interior lights are Ba9s. I actually put a 25 SMT LED plate. Here's a link:

They have white also. I also put super white LED in the license. Looks nice. I'll tell you the easy install if you want to get the plates, but they are super bright. I got blue cuz my car is blue, but they have all different ones to suit individual's preference. But again. just look for the ones that are Ba9s.

How difficult was it to replace all the existing interior bulbs with the LED bulbs? Did you do the dash bulbs also ?

Any issues when you went back to have it worked on (e.g. warranty voided, etc?)

Just need a flat screwdriver to pop open the plastic covers and you have access to the bulb. Found that the SMT type LED (square) is far superior to the regular clear drop type. Thought about putting red LED in dash, but don't know how to do it.

Have had no issues at the dealership or with warranty work.

I installed license plate LED bulbs and WOW they look darn good! This is a link to where I got them from:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2pcs-501-W...wItem

I was a little worried about fit at first, but had to try them cause they have 5 LEDS pointing in all directions. They fit and they look like this:

definitely worth the $10

Hey AKLIQUID. In your photo album, what did you use to replace the factory H3 fog lights? they look b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! I am assuming you went with an aftermarket H3 HID retrofit kit, right? which one & how much? I neeeeeedz that!

akliquid...could you please send me the link of where you got those...? I've spent close to $50 on trial and error buying the Ba9s bulbs...only one set has worked. I was told there was/is a polarity issue and that's why all of the LEDs I've gotten do not work. Do you have an 08...?

are the LED's screw type, bayonet type, single socket bayonet, offset bayonet type?

Which ones for the '04 M45?

I want to change ALL of the interior lights in the ceiling liner, footwells, and even the trunk with brighter LED's(except the dash gauge cluster)

The 2 lights in the ceiling, above the gearshift are Ba9s. The ones for the rear ceiling are different. Don't remember exactly, but better to just take the cover off and remove bulb to check. I believe it was wriitten on the bulb. Step/ courtesy lights in the doors are 158, and license plates are 168. Most bulbs can be used for both 168 and 194. In my experience, the regular, clear drop LED's are worthless, and burn out in a matter of months. The square, usually called SMT or SMD LED's are much better. It's a good idea to remove all covers and examine which way the bulbs face so you don't get a bulb that shoots the light in the wrong direction.

I follow you on the fact that they are the BA9s variety, but do you remember if they are screw-ins or did they have two pointy posts?

I agree the SMT variety are GREAT. anything else is usesless and directional is a must.

what is the light in between the two front two map lights that illuminates down towards the gearshift? it is the one that adds subtle light so you can see near the cupholders, a little?

Ba9s single contact bayonet type. Here's a pic.

I couldn't get access to the light in between the maplights. Let me know if you figure it out.

They are BA9s bulbs...NOT the screw in bulbs. In other words, they are the ones with the "two pointy posts"

yeah so I just received the bulbs and they don't work. I've only found 1 kind of LED bulb that works in this spot and they are hardly bright at all. I don't understand why none of these BA9s bulbs aren't working.

Has anyone changed out their map bulbs to LED's on an 08...???

The reason why probably none of the other bulbs you've tried works is because the polarity of the leds are reversed. I've changed out my map lights with these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...photo

and I just reversed the little white connector between the actual led board and bulb adapter and it worked fine and they are extremely bright.

Hope that helps.

Any chance you could describe this a little better or maybe have a pic of what it is I need to do...?

Perhaps a little bright, but you know how PALM camera phone pictures are, especially at night. over-emphatic and unrealistic. in real-life they don't appear as washed-out and overly bright; It looks good and clear IMHO, but don't try to outrun cops with these... They get your plate number very easily.
