Los Angeles Meet???

I'm down for that. Takes me about an hour 15 mins to get to the LA area from Bako, just have to tell me WHERE in LA. Also...it'll have to be on a second half of the week for me or a saturday if we're talking weekend.

Depending on how our schedule is working out I might make it. My wife is heading to Florida late in May for our son's next knee surgery so I can't do it in late May or early June.

On a Saturday I could drop the wife and kids there at the Zoo and then shoot on over for a while. Sundays are out.

I dont' see why we can't do something like this once a quarter or something? Anyone interested in making this like an official club? Maybe the Socal Versa Club? Maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself...but we could get Bob to come out with parts and stuff and make it a real meet kinda thing...T-shirts anyone?

I am ok with a tentative date of June 14th, just have to decide where in the LA area to have it. Obviously some place public that won't charge people to park there etc..etc...and maybe somewhere that will allow us to set up a booth for Bob? Does Bob have an actual shop? maybe he would want to host it at his shop...I am not volunteering him mind you, just throwing out ideas.

Also maybe someone wants to do some demo kinda things like debadging, or maybe how to paint your engine manifold or something else?

thats good :-D thats actually the day after i graduate highschool and what a better way to kick off the summer with a versa meet in LA and an LA versa club would be so rad demos on how to paint engine covers would be sick :-D i need to learn a thing or two about DIY jobs

Just an update....since Bob hasn't replied to the thread I took the liberty of emailing him to see if he was even remotely interested in some of the stuff we were talking about. Also I don't mind kind of taking the lead on this project although..<chuckle>...out of everyone here my car isn't modded at all, basically comes down to a money thing.

So....unless anyone else wants to jump ina nd head this up or maybe co lead it..lets take submissions for a logo or T-shirt design...we can work from there, and lets shoot for Saturday, June 14th, location still to be decided.

On a side note, Bob wrote me back he does not have a shop per se but he had a few excellent ideas on where to meet and he and I are talking/working on some ideas as to how best to set this up and where.

Anyone know or is a screen printer and or an artist who can help me work up a design and or help us get this thing off the ground? message me..

i dont know about you guys but im really looking forward to this meet..... did you guys want to bbq or anything like that? also i was kinda hoping to make this like a monthly thing, but thats totally up to all of you.... no one understands me and my versa..... its like my latest obsession.... but i think that all of us have that same bug...

I think Monthly might be a little too often although quarterly might be good. I understand your obsession...really I do I have it as well and my co-workers have started calling me Versa as a joke. I am working with Bob on a location where he and possibly a few others can set up a little booth with parts and if possible maybe we can do some demos or just do some work on our cars as well as show them off.

I am also working on a possible T-shirt design for the club as well I contacted a guy, but he wants $400-$600 to design our shirt, and frankly I don't have that kind of cash to lay out up front so I'm looking at other options but like I said..all in the planning stages.

A BBQ sounds good I think it would be alot of fun so keep the ideas coming. Bob says he is watching the thread so I am sure you guys are giving him ideas as to what else we can do.

I am finally getting something done to my car, I am getting a california (legal/crappy) tint tomorrow and I have ordered some LED's for my footwells so hopefully I will have them installed by the time of the meet. I am still undecided as to what wheels/tires to get but I am thinking I want to lower it and get a strut bar also....all in good time.

Anyways...I will keep you all updated, feel free to email or message me if you wanna throw out some ideas or something.

Actually....I don't remember or see a post where you said you would design it free or otherwise....

As for the 4-600 dollars if you look at this guys artwork...which would be customized with what I wrote him IE....2 versa's one hatch, one sedan on the back and then a club logo on the front left chest similar to this link..... http://www.1maddmax.com/mdshirtscustom.html specifically the one for the Buford car truck and motorcycle show....I think that is an honest and fair price.

But hey...feel free to show us what ya got, like I Said...I Didn't see a post where you said you would design it

those designs are ok.... but thats not really suitable to our cars.... we dont have muscle cars.... and frankly i think the idea of drawing out a versa in that fashion is kinda silly.... anyone else agree? lets see what LS comes up with....
