I have a 2007 Murano S with 23000 miles purchased used certified from a dealer in Jan 2008. Within a couple of weeks the car would not start, but just crank over, eventually it would start. It happened randomly three times and I returned it to the dealer for repair under the warranty. They reprogrammed the keys. When I got it back it happened again. After the same problem happened again for at least three times, I brought it back. They replaced an ignition circuit. The same problem began again two weeks ago, it is now at the dealer. The issue happens randomly. It can sit over night or be within an hour of driving. The gas tank has been full or 1/8 of gas remaining. The dealer can troubleshoot it because the car does not store troublecodes. My solution has been to wait about 2-5 minutes with the key removed and try again. So far that has worked, but there must be an underlying issue that has been overlooked. Has anyone had this type of issue or can offer a suggestion for troubleshooting?
First off, welcome to NICOclub, glad to have you aboard! Sorry to hear about your troubles. That surely does not sound like a common problem. Please keep us posted on what happens and how the dealer handles it. Good luck!

So far the dealer can't solve the problem. They have recut and programmed keys three times. The problem still exists. The only solution I have discovered is if it does not start, remove the key, lock the car with the remote lock, unlock the car with the remote lock, put the key back in and it starts. It appears to be an issue with the remote lock not deactivating the passive anti-theif device. Does any one else have an option regarding this issue?
