rumors are goin around i think for 2009.... from what i saw the front end looks a lil wierd to me and not to many ppl like it.... although i think its a 3.7L with 330 hp (if they use the same engine as the g37) but other than that... i really dont know much about it but most ppl are disapointed in the new z

Why irritated Any new model will have issues, to work out, it usually take a couple years to smooth over. Enjoy what you have, nobody knows for sure what the 370 will look like, or what amenities it will come with. Sure is alot of speculation though. When the 370 has the bugs worked out, pull the string on it. Just my opinion.

Oh I'm definitley enjoing what i have, it doesnt take anything away from this car. It would just suck to think that i bought a brand new Z when there is about to be a newer, maybe better one out in a few months. Dont get me wrong, i truly love this car.

If i was looking for new like some people are, i would buy the G37. More power than the Z and luxury with back seats. When i bought my Z i was looking at a G35 then it was bought the day i was going to go buy it!.... So i bought the Z i have now, instead (which turned out as a better deal anyway).

keep in mind, Nissan has confirmed that there will be a new Z for 2009 ( I thought that was common knowledge sorry you missed the memo ) I don not believe they have officially announced details but the poular leaqks and speculation say it's the 3.7 and smaller and lighter then the 350Z, also keep in mind they up the car every couple of years to keep the interest up, the Z33 started in 03 with 287 hp, the 07-08 models are up to 315 hp which is actually more as the standard for measure changed, my point is there will always be bigger better faster newer, so you just have to decide when you are happy with whatever the current offering is knowing that they will upgrade it within a couple of years or you can just buy a new car every year or 2 when they make changes but thats a rather expensive propisition, and I think htye keep they intentionally keep quiet abut upgrades to keep from hurting current model sells, and the GTR has been the center of attention lately keeping the Z out of the news

sorry, you are of course both correct, I was thinking of the estimated hp by the old measuring standard, I believe it would have been equal to about 315 using the old standard, but my point remains, they are constantly upgrading, I am sure the 370 will see a hp increase after the first few years of production

Doesn't everyone know that the best model in any car is always going to be next years model!!!! Manufacturers are usually always making improvements on there models and therefore the best model is always going to be next years model. That is just my $0.02

I recently came across a thread on another forum talking about the 370z column in the new C&D mag. The thread said the Z is for 2010 but will be available in mid to late 2009. Has 330hp like the G37 but is 30XX lbs. which is quite a bit lighter than the current 350z. Calls for sub 5 second 0-60 time - rumor is 4.7 which is ZO6 range, but i doubt that personally. The picture of the car is not quite the ones seen earlier (drawings & concepts). Headlights are still different but not nearly as bad as what i have seen. Maybe they'll sell a Z33 conversion headlight kit! But i am sure like everything else, the new Z will grow on people after seeing it in person.... Lets hope, for the sake of the Z.

What this means is the new Z will be a rocket. A reliable source in Japan has told us it will be powered by a 3.7-liter V-6, the same engine used in the Infiniti G37 coupe, with output bumped to 350 bhp at 6500 rpm and torque to about 280 lb.-ft. at 4500. This new power-to-weight ratio for the "370Z" will allow the car to reach 60 mph in less than 5.0 seconds, and should give the Porsche Cayman S a run for its money around any racetrack. Slideshow >> The overall shape and profile of the new Z will remain relatively unchanged. However, it will be slightly smaller than the current car, measuring roughly 163 in. from bumper to bumper, about 6.5 in. shorter than today's 350Z. Interior space will stay the same, but the car will weigh some 200 lb. less, tipping the scales at about 3010 lb.

You know what really helped the look of the new Z?... releasing some numbers on it. Lighter, more power, these things make the eye more vulnerable to the looks of things. You can't say it doesn't, look at the ugly evo's and sti's but poeple know what they can do so they over look the exterior!..... That new Z is prettier now that we have the info of 350bhp!!!
