Get used to it. Ours, (2003) is dark blue and it is freckeled on the chin from rocks, pocked on the doors from other people's doors and the plastic ledge at the liftgate is scrathed beyond all recognition. Nessan paint leaves mush to be desired.

Hi Wilber, My name is Joe. I do not know if we are two of a few or others just don't talk about it. The paint on my Murano is terrible. It scratches if you breath on it. the paint under and around every door handle has hundreds of little scratch marks. My wife does not have nails and we never use the key. So what is doing this? I hand wash my car (thank God) so it has never gone through a car wash. If my car slightly touches anything it gets marked. I have owned 30 cars and have never had this problem. I once tried to get a little mark in my paint off with my fingernail. What a mistake. I was as if I used a screwdriver. I am sure I can compound most of the scratches out but why should I have to? I also have a black interior. The interior scratches just as easy. I once put a cd in the side door pocket. Within one hour the door was all marked up with marks I can not remove. I put me seat belt on and my wedding ring (NO STONES) scratched the plastic. I have a 1965 thunderbird that is 500% better. Also, if I have 4 or 5 people in my car the rear passengers say things like OH MY GOD and HOLY SH-t when ever we hit the slightest bump or hole. I give this car a 45 out of 100. I am greatly disapointed with my Murano.Joe

I have an '07 Glacier Pearl Mo and have not noticed it scratches easily inside or outside. Maybe the white exterior hides it better but I would notice it since I'm a fanatic about keeping it clean.

Afternoon all,My wife hasn't had her 09 White (Glacier P) LE for very long thus haven't had any issues with the paint as of yet.... I will say however, that paint durability in general has decreased in the last 8 years. Most of which is due to new paint/application methods and tougher environmental controls and standards etc.. I know from experience that Nissan doesn't have the best finish yet many other manufacturers get the same complaints. My Acura paint is very "fragile" as I call it. Then again my 2001 Suburban has been miraculously amazing at how resilient the paint is... You would swear it "heals" itself with regards to everything besides rock chips.... I couldn't tell you how many paintless dent removal jobs it has received for door dings etc, and not a one blemish in the paint that wasn't removed from just a little buffing.. I will admit however, I will never own another dark vehicle due to the extreme care the paint finish must get to ensure a "scratch-less/swirl-less" appearance. I don't care who painted the car, if you have black or other dark color you will tend to see every touch etc.. PS - my wife loves her LE as well! Cheers

I have an '09 metallic blue. For about the first month I noticed excessive pitting on the front bumper cover from road debris which discouraged me about the finish since I never tailgate. I touched up all the marks and after four months it seems like I'm not getting them anymore. I wonder if the paint was not fully cured when I took delivery?PS: For anyone thinking of getting the Blue....I love the color WHEN IT'S CLEAN. It doesn't stay that way for long. If you insist on a clean looking car and don't like washing it every week stay away from the Blue. Fortunately there's a good brushless car wash in my area.

Two words, one color.............TINTED BRONZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My paint is awesome, the only thing that sucks is Nissan still does not have touch-up paint available to date in TB, I don't need it yet, but my wife is the HR Director for a company that is located in an industrial park. Two years ago she toasted a tire with her G35x when a dump truck dropped a huge chunk of scrap metal and she couldn't avoid it, damn thing sliced the sidewall something fierce!

Yep, that was my second choice. Don't get me wrong, I still love the blue but hindsight being what it is..... If you go to a large auto parts store they will usually let you take the paint out to your vehicle so you can match the cap color to the car. If you have a good eye you can get as good or better matching than the touchup paint from Nissan. The dealer had painted a new towhook cover for my wife's Versa and the color wasn't even close. Rather then have them do it over again (and get it wrong once more) I went to advance auto and with only a few trips between the paint aisle and the parking lot I was able to find an exact match.

TB was my first choice but they didn't have it on the lot with the options I wanted. My next choice was black. It's looks really sharp when it's clean but of course it takes constant work to keep it looking that way.

I actually love the Blue, and then the Merlot, but my wife hates blue in general.
