Pretty funny, they ran cars through some water and tried to spin them with the VDC off and on. This is with VDC off... the VDC on wasn't interesting at all.

There was a Volkswagon swapmeet/dragrace/carshow at the main track... we went over twice to watch the VW's race.... some of them were running 10's - 13's BTW it was 98 today at the track

This guy ran a 9.85 in his VW dragster.

Hes wearing lighting shoes too lol....

I think the big question is how did my brakes do??? Well I'm not sure. I gave them a brief inspection when I put back on my stock tires. The rear rotors are white from being very very hot and the paint blistered off the pads! They performed great.... no fade at all plenty of brake just took a little pedal to slow the car. I'm planning on taking the brakes apart tomorrow to check the pads for damage.

Heres what the rears looked like 3800 miles ago,

I don't know about anybody else, but the first two videos don't work for me. They just go to the photobucket home page.

Well I took the brakes apart and checked the pads and rotors for damage.

The rear brake pads have a crinkle on the sides of the pads. It looks like I got the brakes hot enough to melt the red paint off them but there is no melted pad material or cracks in the pads so I think the pads are fine.

A little red paint left, these used to be entirely red

The rear rotors are now bright white around the edges. The rotors WERE zinc plated. The bright is from the zinc plating melting and readhearing to the rotor. I can flake off the zinc plating with my finger

shot of the top of the rear rotor where the zinc plating has melted.... some of it transfered to the underside of the caliper LOL

Front pads, still in great shape the paint didn't even melt

But then again I have not been there in quite a few years. So Your back brakes got hotter than the front. Were You running a lower temp compound in the rear?

Jeff, you know the reason your G is so fast?!?! It's trying that much harder to get away from those mustang wheels!!!

Yep on Amy...

That might be true.

My only regret with the Mustang wheels is they are HEAVY. If I could do it again I'd buy some forged aluminum.

That track is shorter... I was passing another G almost every lap... did you notice there was no car in front of me at the start and I caught up to a white G35 sedan in the end? I passed him on that straight.

The fronts are just generic ceramic that OC motorsports sold me. The rears are EBC redstuff? I know the backs got HOT cause the zinc plating melted off. After each 20 min run I went and did 5 slow laps around the pits to cool everything even further?

Infiniti of Scottsdale = IOS

Its the dealership I bought my car from.... 4 times a year they pay for me and 99 other customers to have ASA instructors at the track and about hour and a half total track time split up into 20 min blocks.

They bring out the current line up for you to look at.

They have performance mods for sale in a tent.

They feed you... ect

This is by far the coolest dealership I have ever dealt with. If your looking to buy a Infiniti go to Infiniti of Scottsdale!!!!!!!!!

Yeah man we are due July 3rd, I will call him Stephen Ike.

Ike is pronounced I-kay, its Nigerian I don't know what it mean LOL

My other son is 3, his name is Jeffrey Maduka, Maduka is Nigerian means my family is great. It was my wifes Grandpa's name.

Thanks man, kids are more my wifes thing she wants 4. So we will probably have 4. I like to race so here we are at the track. Sounds like a good marriage right?

Man it sure is good when that works out. When we got married 10 years ago I wanted 4 and she wanted 2. We now have 2 and she wants more and I barely want the 2 I have!!!!

Thanks,

I'll keep the G for another 2 years or so. Then I'll try to buy a GTR or something equivalant. We already have a Toyota Sequoia that comfortably seats 7 adults and has seat belts for 8.

Heres a couple pictures of the G and the Sequoia at the track

Congrats Jeff. It won't be too long before you'll have a little go-carter to train. Get them started young and right! And, you'll soon have your own pit crew.

My youngest is 20 and moving into her first apartment tonight. I'm free of kids, but also out of deductions. But, the terrible news is, she is taking the Mustang. (it's okay, she has been make the payments and the insurance for awhile now). And now, I will have a empty space in the garage. Whatever shall I do...
