I'd like to change the appearance a bit. Wheels certainly. But then... I really like orange. I was thinking a white versa with a section all the way around the bottom of the car painted orange (like this orange: http://www.seriouswheels.com/p...8.jpg )... Any other ideas on how to incorporate an orange theme? (on the exterior, I have ideas for the interior)\ I was trying to imagine some of Bulldog's two tones with orange (since the hood/top would probably be less expensive to paint), but wasn't sure if that would look good...

Well, I don't actually have the versa yet, it's just got everything I'm looking for except orange-ness

It is the 'NEW' black!! It just amazes me that it's back so strong, as it was very popular in the '70s, then plummeted out of favor for 20-30 years. My favorite color combo back then was orange and brown- were my H.S. and college colors and also the Cleveland Browns - grew up in Cleveland.

Heheh, ya... I've been in and out of style because I've always liked orange. Even though it's popular now there aren't a lot of cars that come in orange. I guess that's good, because it's a color that works best in moderation ... We had a "tame" orange bedroom for a while, but it didn't last long.

I almost bought a Fit in Orange... They had a +$3500 dealer markup on a $14,000 car.

I said, Uh, no, laughed at them, test drove the versa the next day and bought it.

Agreed though, wish I could have got my V in orange. Black was my second choice.

I found it funny as you guys are talking about "Orange being the new black"...at the bottom of the thread was an advertisement for an Orange Infiniti FX.

Ya, I guess everyone shopping this kind of car probably looked at the Fit too ... I almost went for an orange Suzuki SX4 but test drove it and it felt very sluggish - which I would have accepted if it got great gas mileage, but it doesn't. I also wanted keyless start, but didn't need the cost of AWD.

With the money I save over the AWD SX4, I can hopefully orangify my Versa

Money can get you what you want.

After all, I just paid $1730 to have a quarter panel straightened out, a bunch of dents removed, and my whole car repainted on my Rambler. jambs, and all.
