Crazy Australians put a Holden (Pontiac GTO) supercharger on a VG33 Pathfinder
Here are the photo's:

and the car is also running on LPG
Notice the different corner lights with clear reflector. And the sidemarkers in the fenders. Those side mirrors are hideous. Anyways, makes me consider a Frontier s/c for mine. I can pick up a complete one for $450 should I do it? Oh and originall found at: http://pcoa.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2498

for $450? thats cheap, id go for it. it'd be better if it fit under the stock hood without any modifications though. and as long as you dont put those freaky mirrors on it

well its a grip of labor.. have to swap out the entire upper plenum.... i would still have to get the vg33er crank pulley... bigger injectors.... and i dont know if the compression ratio is different it would be a lot of testing involved, could get expensive

I think the compression would be fine, but you'd definitely have to run premium after that. I think 6 psi is the maximum you'd want to run without doing any lower engine work. Does the kit come with an ECU upgrade? I think you'd have to do that to get it to run right.

Swapping out the plenum and pulley's are going to be a pain, given what you have to do to get at them.

I say as long as you can get the ECU to play along and don't mind running premium, it'd be sick.

whole engine swap? hard choice, especially if the new motor has already been proven good with the s/c. whats that motor out of?

It's awesome, and you should buy it. . But what I REALLY want is the 3.2 diesel that was a factory option.

Ahhh... it came off of the GM 3.8 V6 which means here in the states it can be found on the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. The unit is an Eaton M90 while the stock VG33ER unit is an M62... to be honest, Nissan should have went straight to the M90 as the M62 is definitely on the small side for the VG33.

What's nice about those M90's is they're so common place due to Ford and GM using them quite a bit that you can get them cheap on eBay. If you can fab up an adapter of some sort you could definitely get quite a bit more performance over the VG33ER's M62.
