Hey All! My name is RJ. I live in the desert of California and am a new owner of a 2004 Nissan Murano SE AWD. I am highly interested in improving its ride and performance.

Just picked it up last week. So far, I'm loving life. I'll post my gripes first, but rest assured that this is a sick vehicle when compared to anything in this segment/class. Some things that come to mind: Nav (I'm used to BMW), Jukebox (need a hack please), and Voice Command (still exploring alternate command mode, but the default mode is too slow). I'll elaborate and post some interior pics next week.

First and foremost, welcome to NICOclub! We are all glad to have you here. Please take a few photos of your new ride and post them in the Murano Photo Thread, we all love to see pics, especially of the new '09 model.

I know the Murano has the IPOD interface, but it is only on the LE. I think that if you do hook it up the way you are talking about, it will work, you just won't have all the info on the screen such as song name and artist.

hey jon,

How did you get the 20's on an SL? More power to ya, but there were absolutely NO dealers in New England with that combo on anything other than an LE.

I have a loaded LE and wanted to get your thoughts on some features that you may have. I think I can see the moonroof option on your new ride. Were you aware that only the FRONT glass panel opened? I didn't catch onto that until I pretty much bought the car. Also, did u get the bi-xenon headlights with the tilt feature? I like the IPOD interface and I bet you can find a better set up than the Y to AV connection through the armrest. Are you using the headphone jack from your IPOD or the actual digital input/output located on the bottom? Trust me when I say the sound quality between the two is way different!

Nice pics, man. I'll post some of mine this weekend hopefully.

The dealer had the 20s loaded on it and they threw it in my package for free, with the roof rails and door protectors. Ya i saw that the front glass opened when i checked out the car...i did get the bi-xenon lights and tilt feature, it comes with the technology package i believe. Im using the AV RCA's in back of the armrest to hookup my IPOD.

hey Jon,

Where do the cables plug into the IPOD itself (the top headphone jack or the bottom digital input)?

You lucked out with the 20's and roof rack. What do u think of the Nav? I love the display, not happy with the disabled menu options when moving.

Are those picture photoshopped? If not, them I'm as impressed with your camera skills as I am with your ride (and I'm very impressed with your ride--not enough people choose white, but in the end that's better for us).

Seriously. Nice photos.

Here's my 2009 Murano LE AWD Red/Beige with all the other toys, #110104 (does this mean it's the 104th one put on the assembly line?). I bought it 15 Feb 2008. Great vehicle. Working on my first mod already -- Turn Smart mirrors. http://www.auto-care.com/turnsmart.html

New to the forum... was a long time member of F150online...Back in December we replaced my wife's '01 Maxima with an '07 Murano. She loves it and I liked it so much that I went and traded my beloved F150 (which i had done a lot of work on -- never took pics of final trim) for an '09. And I like the '09 twice as much as the '07. The seemed to have fixed everything that is a minor annoyance on her car. The interior is really awesome. I just wish the ipod adapter was an option on the SL.Should we be in a commercial?

How the heck do I insert a photo?

I see your pics...I see the SL insignia on back.....I just looked through the 09 Murano brochure and 20's ar'nt even listed as an option on the SL....but there they are. My wife just got a black SL and we both love it. The only thing I don't like just a litttle bit are the 18" wheels...20" wheels and tires look much better. I was just wondering if chnaging from 18 to 20 would throw the speedometer/odometer etc off? With all the computer controls and such would anything need to be recalibrated ?

Would try to post pics of my SL but don't know about that URL thing....

No, only the LE can get them. I sold mine off my LE for 600 to a dealer in CA, and he paid shipping. Bought 20" Incubus Shylock. Will try to post this weekend. No, you don't have to recalibrate. The diameter of your tire does not change, only the wheel changes and your tire is thinner.

Maybe thats how Jondele got his ..... Looking forward to seeing your new wheels. I think the 20" Nissans' look great, not familiar with the Incubus. I'll probably have to wait till I wearout the OE tires before I make a change....which with Goodyear Eagles it should'nt be long.
