I have some window motors from two different Infiniti Q45s and I want to know if they will work in a 1992 Maxima? One Q was a 1995 that I already scrapped and the other Q is a 1990. I have to replace the driver front and passenger rear motors because they both burned out. Thanks,Matt

Does anybody have any ideas? The problem is that it is my grandmother's car and she is 3 hours from where I live and I have extra window motors from some parts cars that I bought and if one of those will work then that will be great. I don't want to have to buy a window motor if it isn't necessary. Thanks

Why would anyone know unless they actually tried the swap? Or did a side by side comparison. Obviously noone has.

Kind of a weird concept to begin with, unfortunately.............that a light FWD might use any parts from a Q. Even the J30 only shares a few things with a 300zx mostly drivetrain.

I didn't see what would be so weird about it as Nissan is the creator of Infiniti and I figured that it would be cheeper for them to share certain parts like window motors to help with the cost of manufacture. I also thought that maybe somebody may have done this in the past and knew whether or not it would work and I would like to know before I take my Infiniti window motors 3 hours from here to find out that they don't work.

Update.....I was able to swap in the window motor from the Q regulator to the Maxima regulator. So, it will work.

I wonder if Maxima regulators are cheaper than Infiniti regulators?

Years back (when I cared) I could buy Rabbit parts for a more expensive Scirocco or Audi, but it was always heck to figure out the equivalence.

Or another example, starter and alternator repair shops all know the equivalences among models so they can stock fewer parts yet repair many makes.

And while the Window Motor in a Maxima and a Q may share the same nominal form-factor, might they be different power ratings? Q's have heavier glass, especially the 94-96 Qs.
