so i have been toying with the idea of building a track drift car. was going to do a matching sil80. But scrapped the idea cause everyone and there brother has a s13 now.i remembered an old roommate of mine had this infiniti that was a coupe rwd. after a trip to a local parts yard to look at one closer i decieded to buy this, got it running for 600.00 i was origanally going to go with an rb25det but after a lot of research i find that getting the turbo elbow and down pipe requires alot of fabrication. so i choose a passanger side mounted turbo motor. picked up a jdm late model 7mgte for a grand. with an r154 5 spped transmition. as for suspension... the s13 front suspension is almost a direct bolt in and i know that the s14 front suspension is a direct bolt in to the s13, so i go a hold of s14 spindles new five lug hubs lcas. to go a long with that a got a set of tein super drifts from an s13, z32 front and rear brakes and a 30mm tanabe front sway bar. z31 turbo 5lug hubs for the rear(not shown)as for interior bride zeta 3 for me and a charge speed for any passanger mounted to the car by imported bride side mount seat rails i have the s14 front end mocked up and the coilovers and brakes mounted to check clearance. this weekend mockup for the engine mounts begins tell me what you think and questions are welcome...

so not alot has been happening with the m30 until this last weekend thats right boys and girls test fit the motor and i am very pleased...assembled motor and trans

were its going yes that is an s13 crossmemberi need a bigger hoistit is in resting on the crossmember to take some messurements this is when i was fearing making the mountsit is kinda hard to see but the the stock mounting points on the motor and the crossmember are near identical. with the mid sump 7mgte oilpan sitting on the crossmember the mounting points are 4 inches vertically apart and the motor sits 3 inches forward of the crossmember. but with a 5m front sump oilpan i will be able to use the alumn solid mounts that i got with my sr20det. (also shown here is a pic of the head clearance to the bulkhead for claire) which shows that it will have enough room to move back 3 inchsas for turbo clearance i could fit a 6inch down pipe on the passanger side and not hit anything
