1stEXinCT, I'm not sure if this is what you need, but FYI, there's a page over at the Infiniti site which offers a download (File Size: 816k ) to label your untitled music tracks in the Music Box.Per the documentation: Download the "TitleInfoSearch.exe" file to update all your untitled music. Once installed, this application uses your Internet browser to access the online database to find and label all the missing titles on your CompactFlash card. Click here for download Music Box Database Access/Title Finder for compact flash card
Hope this helps!
edit: never mind, 1stEXinCT, I just re-read your question after I posted the above (this time with the benefit of more coffee) & I now realize you're already probably aware of the download & so this probably doesn't answer your actual question. Sorry. I'm gonna leave this post up though, in case somebody else hasn't seen the download yet. Hopefully somebody else more techno-savvy can help you.

Not sure if you're still following this thread but, you need a CF card. CF - compact flash As far as "size", I don't think the data space available matters...You could buy one just about anywhere. I did a google and this was one website: http://www.flash-memory-store.....html

Has anyone tried using large capacity (8 GB, 16 GB or higher) CF cards? Does using a higher speed card (Ultra, Ultra II, etc) give you any benefit or will a standard speed card work as well?TIA! David

The faster speed cards are great for cameras, but probably a waste of money for mp3's.

The best size of CompactFlash is 4 GB or less. Limitations are as in the manual:With navigation system: Folder levels: 8, Folders: 255 (including root folder), Files: 512 (Max. 255 files for one folder) Without navigation system: Folder levels: 8, Folders and files: 999 (Max. 255 files for one folder) I try to put more, but only the first 512 titles will be displayed. Those 512 MP3 files use around 3.8 GB.

Good to know - thanks! BTW, if it took 3.8 GB to store 512 files, your songs must be quite long or encoded at a very high rate (or both). On my 2 GB card, I have 496 files (with about 2 MB free).

You can probably save a lot of space by converting at sync time. for MP3s the Infiniti can only decode up to 320kbps VBR. I only use WMA and it only does 192kbps VBR which is a VERY small file size for me. I tell Media Player to convert to those constraints when I sync to the card.

just an FYI, I forced WMP to convert the music down to 64kbps to save space and they sound -ok- but I wouldn't suggest this unless you just have to save space. 192kbps VBR will be ideal.

Thanks for the tip. I find that 64 kbps is just on the ragged edge of acceptable. Based on songs 3 to 5 minutes long, and a total files limit of 512 on CF, that maximum would likely be reached using a 2 GB card with 128 kbps encoding (or even 192 kbps vbr, as you suggested). Where I'm located, 2 GB CF cards retail for $20 (at electronic discounters like factorydirect.ca), so that's a pretty reasonable value point.
