Does anyone get lucky enough to obtain the Rogue's Factory Service Manual, perferably on a CD version with a bunch of pdf's? I'm trying to find information on the electronic setup so I can get started on installing an aftermarket Navigation unit in this puppy. Thanks in advance.

1 - Goto http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissan/2 - Purchase a one day online viewing subscription for $19.953 - Download the entire service manual in PDF format (There is about 50+ files totalling approx 50+ MB) . TSB and service bulletins are available too.

Thnaks a lot, Phil, . You've just helped me waste $19.95 for nothing.

I made the purchase like you said, and got the access to search for Rogue's FSM. This car is still too new or something, they only have the CD version for sale at $210.00. The printed pdf version isn't out for this car, yet. What a waste of money and time.

Hmmm,

Select 'Search for Publications' on the left sidebar, and search for the Rogue FSM. It is available for online viewing.

Going through the normal menus only shows CD and printed manuals, not the online stuff.

I just checked with my subscription and I can view and D/L the entire FSM.

Good luck!

If you still cannot D/L please reply to my e-mail sent to you earlier and I will help out any way I can.

If you figure it out, let us all know, please.

I think I figured it out (I see the red Question mark, which according to the ledgend means subscription viewing only.) I just want to make sure before purchasing the one day subscription.

I checked NissanHelp and they are not showing an online manual there yet.

It works. Once the subscription is paid, it allows you to view the manual.

Here is how to get the files. It's a lengthy process (give yourself an hour or 2) but worth it:

1 - Once you click on the link, it will launch Adobe PDF Reader (v8 is needed) and you'll see the table of contents.2 - Wait for the manual page to load, then click on the 'save file' icon on the toolbar.3 - Click on next section in the navigation pane. The sections are titles EM, EC, LU, etc.4 - Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remainder of the manual.

Update: There are 54 pdf files in total. They view just fine on the PC.

Later,

I am suprised NissanHelp hasn't gotten flak over hosting the FSM's yet. Several other sites hosting manuals have been shut down. Copyright laws you know.

Finally found the document for the FSM. Thanks a lot Phil.

I find this way to work a little better.

Go to the same publication search like Phil said. Then type in the keywords blank: Manual.

It will pull up a list of Nissan FSM's from latest year to previous by models. Rogue is in that list. After opening up the pdf, it'll guide you to the quick reference index where you can start following Phil's method. Make sure to wait for each pdf to finish download before you save the document. Mine only took 45 minutes considering my download rate is at around 500kbs/sec over here. At times, it may get stuck, I just repeat the download and everything was fine after that.

Now that I have the FSM, I'm working on sorting out the needed wires to install a Pioneer AVIC-D3 GPS/DVD headunit into my Rogue. This is the reason that I didn't buy the premium package because Bose audio system runs on a 1=Ohm circuit, which requires to replace the whole thing including speakers. The regular factory audio can be merged to use with the Pioneer headunit for a while until I replace the speakers for good. The only thing I waiting on is a dash kit from MetraOnline.com. I called them today for the double-din kit, they said to call back in a couple weeks later. Once I have that, I'll start on my navigation conversion and do a write-up for you guys who's interested.

Anyways, after all the frustration, I finally got the file I need. Special thanks to Phil upstairs.

PCY and philipa, I'll apologize up front, because I don’t mean to hijack your post but is there any reference in the manual to changing the LCD display from imperial figures to metric?

It’s a problem I’ve been trying to seek the answer to (zerothread/316313) and if the solution is in the manual, I will purchase it and look it up myself (it may be a good idea to have the manual on hand anyway, but at the moment that is my most pertinent thing that I would need it for).

Thanks!

Thanks, I got mine this morning.

Only problem I had is the first browser I used has the PDF opeing in Acrobat instead of the browser. I could get to the main pdf, but it would not download any of the other files.

Other browser with pdf in browser worked fine.

Regards

Once you downloaded the manual in PDF and your 1 day subscription expired do you still have access to the manual in PDF or does it require a new fee?

Once your subscription expires you can no longer view it online. However, if you were clever enough to save all the PDF files (there are 54 of them) on your PC, you can still view them at any time.

Another site has posted the FSM for download... for free (you knew it had to happen).

Do a Google search for:

Yes, well I am suprised. The FSM is copyrighted and it has likely been the reason other FSM downloads have been shut down recently.

The zipped PDF files are nearly 60MB. Much too big for e-mail. Follow my earlier post and do a google search. You need to register at the website (it's free) and you can d/l the FSM as one zip file.

FYI: The Nissanhelp site that was hosting the FSM is no longer active. The only source for the FSM is Nissan Tech Info website:

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/

You need to purchase a subscription to view the FSM ($19.99 for one day). The files are in PDF format.

Hint: Use the 'Search for Publications' feature on the main page to find the FSM. Here is the direct link:

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/find.aspx

P.S. Please do not ask me to e-mail the FSM to you. The manual is copyrighted material and I will not distribute it. If you want a copy, please purchase one from the site above or from your dealer.

Should be the same thing that I uploaded but you can download it for free from me. Just hit free and wait for about minute or two and then type the numbers and letters from the box and you will get access to download the file. If you have premium account for rapidshare.com then you don't have to wait and type the confirmation code.

Thanks for uploading this to the host. I downloaded it yesterday and printed out the maintenance section. Haven't had the time to look through them all yet, but I know it is going to come in real handy. I posted the links to the Ebay offerings because the OP wanted it on CD, and one of the CD stated that it had a searchable table of contents, which would be kinda nice at times. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you again for making this available to us....
