I don't know any one that runs without a front bar.

On a side note, have you tried adjustable endlinks?
I don't know if you could swing it without preloading/unloading (not sure which way it would go) the bar, but it could resolve the rubbing issue.

Do others with RB swaps have the same issue? Or is there something else that might be causeing the issue?

you need a front sway bar. very important.

just let it rub the pan. mine did on my rb25 for years. it wont hurt anything.

np man, if it really bothers you, you can "clearance" it with a block of wood and a hammer (hit the oil pan)

the pickup is pretty deep in the pan and you should only need .25-.5 inches of clearance. but mine literally rubbed for years and i never had an issue.

Ah, who needs a front sway bar anyway. A vague turn in, massive body roll and oversteer is cool right?

engine to anything rub translates to noise ,wear of the rubbing parts ,and vibration.Shim the sway bar center mounts to lower the bar, shim the mounts to raise the engine, heat and bend the bar to clear, clearance the pan to clear.Any one of many methods can easily be done to achieve clearance. If it aint right ,you know it aint right ,and it will continue to bother you.Fix it.Keep the bar.

Engine swaps can be done right or half assed.Which do you want to be?

in a FWD it can be helpful, in RWD it's a nightmare, loads of bodyroll and little traction at the rear as a result, you want to do anything you can to stiffen the front
