Here's a question to fill some time while I have pictures made.

I'm converting the car to 5spd. Since the car has to be in park for the top to come down. what do I do wen I convert it to 5spd. Is there a trick that I don't know about tricking the ECU into thinking you're in park or do you disable that fe4ature altogether. I have NO clue what so ever. please let me know something. Thanks!

We're really not mean, but you need to understand, 95% of the people who come into the vert forum as n00bs ask generalized questions related to the 5-speed swap. We have FAQ's and stickies in this forum that will tell you what you need to do for the 5-speed swap.

If you don't like our stickes then there's nothing much we can do to help you. All of the knowledge that we know about these cars was put into those stickes.

Let's recap:

You didn't find the information you were looking for because you obviously didn't spend enough time actually browsing the sticky thread.

We see questions like this often, especially when there's a wave of newbies, so we get tired of people not finding the information that's clearly laid out. You'll get pissy with n00bs too when you've been here a while and see it from our side.

After the 5-speed swap thread was posted for you TWICE, you finally took the time to read through it and see that it DID have all the information you needed. You're welcome.

I swear to god, people want stuff spoon fed to them anymore. Those guides have EVERYTHING you need to swap it short of holding the daggum wrenches for you.

I hate to come off as an old fart, but if you don't have the time to devote to researching about your car, then you should ask yourself, do you really have the time to take care of it?

Haha, this guy is my uncle, how he got the name to certain friends that i have, hahaha, and for you to write that made me cry i was laughing so hard. Very random he is, and to top that, his sense of humor can be very sarcastic. relatively nice guy is true too.

Actually, I have flat feet, so they always hurt a little and I like to take a bath and soak the dogs.... true story, especially when you have size 13 plywood sheets attatched to your lower leg.
