I have identified my calipers already but where to buy r33 gtst rotors is still a problem.

original 1st post:

so i supposedly ordered everything z32 for my front with 30mm calipers and 30mm rotors... i also double checked to make sure i ordered all 30mm parts. i think somebody sent me the wrong part because my caliper sits higher than the rotor and the pads sit above the top of the rotor. anybody know why this fitment is off?

Where did you get those calipers from? Are you sure they are Z32 Calipers? I think the R33, or one of those Skyline's brakes look just like them, but are meant for just a bit larger rotor...Only thoughts I got my friend. Just my $.02

i dont think those are z calipers. ive never seen any like that. maybe r34? but i think they had brembos you might measure to see how much overlap you have. if they are not big enough to make the skyline caliper then you might beable to use z33 they are 296mm x 22mm. i think?

if the rotor isn't touching the calliper body then the pistons should push the pads onto the rotor when you bleed the brakes, and be sure you have a couple of lug nuts on the hold the cappier in place

you might go to auto zone or one of those places and look up what the 03-05 wrx runs. the calipers are the same as the z32 30mm and the rears all all the same. I'm pretty sure the NON brembo 350z has a 296 x 22? thats the closest i can get you

I am bettting R33 GTST, they look like mine. 296x30mm rotors you would need. The rest of the parts are Z32 compatible (rebuild kit and pads).

Bad news is only from Japan (maybe Nissan USA can order them) or DBA can you get those sizes.

ugh, there has to be a place in the us selling new skyline rotors. the r32/r33 caliper swap is getting a lot more common it seems

I second this view.

You may want to contact one of these retailers and see they can get you DBA part number 4936:http://www.dba.com.au/2006/namerica_usa.asp

As per page 100 of this catalog:http://www.dba.com.au/2006/PDF...7.pdf

O'rly? You didn't find that on page 100 of that catalog a rotor size matching 296mm x 30mm? Not even for a Nissan Skyline R33 GSTS?

You might want to try West Covina or Courtesy NIssan. They should be able to get them from Japan. That's why R32 GTR and R33 calipers are not good to have in the U.S. z32 calipers are more practical to have.

DBA is a manufacture; the first link is a list of vendors that sell DBA's products. Their products are listed on the PDF from the second link. The part number you need is 4936 and you probably have to clarify with the vendor that it is a DBA part number. Or you can not read what other people have posted and just click the link: http://www.buybrakes.com/dba/.

f me they are expensive.... haha, oh well, you get what you pay for. but my brembo z32 rotors were less than half the cost of these.
