Love the new 2008 Sentra S. Came with the middle stereo (not the base stereo, but not the RF pacakge). It's the one with the 6 speakers and aux input (no 6-disc changer, though).
Bought the CVT model with the Convenience package. Love the look of the factory stereo, the info display above it, and the factory Bluetooth. Hence, I don't want to get rid of the setup. Works for me.
Three questions:
1 - does this stereo have any kind of pre-amp outs? Doubt it, but have to ask. Otherwise, I plan on adding a Blaupunkt tB 200a 8" powered sub under the pass. seat (fits great I believe) and tapping into the speaker wires for the two rear desk speakers.
2 - does the convenience package for the 2008 S with the CVT include satellite pre-wiring, or is that only available with the RF package? If I can buy the factory Sirius kit from everythingnissan.com or courtesynissan.com, I want to make sure the wiring is in place before I do that. Of course, the dealer is clueless. I have a Sirius radio I can use with the AUX input, and I may do that. But, if a factory option exists, I'd like to go that route.
3 - is there a way to pop the external roof AM/FM antenna off so I can route a small Sirius antenna near it and route the antenna wire through that roof hole? Can't see a way to get that antenna off. With 2008 Sentras with factory satellite, does this antenna contain a built-in sat. antenna or something? I'm just assuming so.
Love the car so far -- great gas mileage, power and handling. I just want to go beyond my MP3 player and into sat. radio. I notice XM is a factory option, but not Sirius. So, it's confusing when you see a Sirius install kit like here:

This site implies that sat. wiring indeed exists in the S trim, even without the RF system. Just wanting to make sure.
Thanks!
