I finally managed to get the wheels I've been saving up for some time now, as well as taillight tint. I still have to add the headlight tint as well as find the time to install my springs and lower the car. Am really excited about how its turning out so far though. Also, getting the chance to not bore you guys with my bone stock baby was something I've been looking forward to for a while . Couldn't choose between black or chrome, so I went with both! Black chrome! Heh.. best of both worlds. They are 18" Saleen S-styles ... I'm infatuated with simple five spoke designs . Thanks again Shift_Coupe for the tint suggestions and LBC for the wheel help.

Yo, I just realized that those are RWD rims you put on the coupe. Like +24 offfset right? Good luck dropping those bad boys.. we've been debating back and forth on this forum what the ride will be like with a 1" drop.

We've crunched the numbers, but nothing will really tell until someone actually puts the springs on. Eduardo on this forum has +35 offset, 20 x 8.5" wheels with 245/35/20 tires. And he states that he has slight rubbing in the rear when hitting bumps or when going up inclines curved onramps.

You wheels stick out about 1.5 " more than stock, so clearance, after a 1" drop when going over bumps is going to be questionable. It all really comes down to how stiff the eibach springs end up being, but my bet is that your car will not survive a drop without having rubbing issues when going over bumps. (for the rear only, front should be fine!) But hey, we'll all see in a couple of months!

Thanks again guys.. I got the overlays from bluebatmobile.net Voodoo, I found Andy awesome and very helpful with his suggestions. The wheels are 18x 9.5" and the tires are TOYO FZ4's (245-40-18). I bought them as a package Legend, mounted and balanced for around $1600 shipped (maxed out on my poor college student budget). Yeah Feelgood, I thought about it a lot and decided to take the chance as I absolutely loved the wheel design and the black chrome look, the combination of which is unavailable anywhere else. They do stick out a bit Ursus but I like the lines .. makes them look way meaner than the relatively wussy stock wheel offset.

Sigh...all show and no go, but thats what you get with a 2.5 :/ . Ill keep you guys posted on how uncomfortable or improbable the springs make the ride as a whole.. heres hopin

idk the rear sticks out too much for my liking, so you got 9.5" wide tires? ouch well i hope you are not planning on dropping because you'd rub like a mofo...

Sounds like you need to re-balance your wheels. But I could be wrong.

18x9.5's Holy Crap, I didn't realize you can stick that on the coupe. Although it does stick out a bit, it looks really nice! Let us know how it works out when you drop it

Can you post up so pics of the front wheel in relations to the fender without the wheel being turned? I'm really qurious of seeing how it looks from the front and a top view pic looking down from fender.

hub centric rings FTW. $20 upgrade that will help amazingly. Also a weight could have fallen off. Wheels like that are going to use stick on wights and if the area they are attached to isnt cleaned precisely they will fly off at the first 80+ you hit.

It looks like you photoshopped the car into some of those locations. That or you have one awesome SLR camera!!! Depth of field like crazy.

Besides that, the car looks amazing. That's how a coupe should be done.

Hey Dangeris, do these help any?...just took some quick pics of what I believe you wanted, if not let me know.

I play a lot with depth of field and hdri Rwu, its awesome that you caught that! Does the arch in your screen name insinuate architecture in any way? It would make sense then, being an Architecture major myself

Hey Alaron, Yes, those pictures do help. They look freakin awesome and it doesn't stick out as much as i though it would. I looked backed on an earlier post but you didn't mention what the offset was on your wheels. What is the offset of those wheels your running? Do your wheels rub at full turn?

Yes my friend, the arch does stand for architecture. I'm a project manager at a small firm in NJ. And yes, us architects enjoy Nissans as well as the next guy, although not as much as I enjoy pulling all nighters. My record is 72 hours without one second of sleep (prepping for a crit of course). Try driving after doing that, you see weird things like grandmas flying in front of your car and massive holes in the pavement.

Sorry 'bout that Dangeris, the wheel offset is +24mm, iffy at best I know, but they seem to work fine and I've had absolutely no rubbing at any angle or speed so far. This is the stock height though. 72 hrs is ridiculous rwu.. I reached my limit at 58, and nearly passed out on one of the profs during my crit

+24 huh?...Well now...Seeing those wheel's dimension on your coupe opens a whole new world of possibilities. Yes, they do stick out a little but not so much that it looks .... And actually I do agree with you that it give a coupe a stance. I like it!

OK,..is it me but I've been doing the math on the wheels that Alaron bought and at 9.5" wide +24 offset, that wheel extends out 46mm MORE than stock. That's almost 2"! I went out to my car and pulled a ruler out and placed it in front of our stock alloys and tried to "eyeball" approx. 2" out. I have to tell ya guys that 2" really sticks out there but looking at his pics that he posted, it doesn't look like they stick out that far. Is it me or am I placing the ruler on the wrong edge. According to the offset calculator, it would extend an extra 46MM from the front edge of the current wheel.

Thoughts anyone?

Yeah, I mentioned this a few posts up... in any case, I don't even think I factored in the increased rim width and time size, all of that matters when factoring in exactly how much the wheel/tire combo will stick out from mounting hub compared to stock. In any case, yeah its about an extra 2", and as I mentioned, I seriously doubt this car will survive a 1" drop. I think its gonna be hell going over bumps, but we won't know for sure until the springs come out!

Yeah I did read your post Doc and re-read it again. It just blows my mind on how far out it sticks out. Do you think 9.5 with a +35 offset would of worked better for a drop? that would of only made it stick out 35MM or 1.3 inches. IMO, I think that could work but like you said, .......
