Try ebay.....I have an 06 M45 that had a 6series version in it, same story was gonna cost me about 190.00.....Found the disk on ebay for 45.00 with free shipping to boot...

I'm sorry. No one is going to be selling V7.3 on eBay for $45. Each of the last 2 years I have have gotten the latest version (7.2 & 7.3) and then sold my previous versions (7.1 & 7.2) on eBay, all for more than $45.Take your business to another dealer. BTW - My 4 year old street finally showed up on V7.3!

You current version should be fine unless you forget where you live. Your going to have to suck it up and buy from Zenrin unless someone is willing to burn a copy. From experience they do not work well. Original is the way to go. Zenrin will also cut the price in half before they release a new version.

On a similar vein, I layed out the $190 to purchase the upgrade dvd 7.3 for my 2007 M35 (which was delivered with the 05/06 Nav version in it). I took it to the dealer to upgrade along with my regular service . The dealer claims that there is a CD that is supposed to accompany this disk, and that they can't install the dvd without it. When I contacted Zenrin they say just install and it'll work, but it doesn't!! What am I to do? Can anyone help me out with this, have you had the same experience? Any tips would be appreciated.

I popped out the 7.1 disc that shipped with mine, and popped in the 7.3 disc and started the car - I think it loaded some stuff, and then worked fine; I did another car at the same time and I cant recall if they both did the "updating software", I know the other car did as I watched that closer; but there was nothing special to it; nothing fancy to do this upgrade, no dealer required;I have a 2006 - so not sure if that makes a difference or not;

Just bought the 7.3 DVD Navigation on EBAY for $110 free shipping. History on Ebay states lowest price sold recently was $90. This DVD has much more detail than 7.2. It was very easy to change out in car also took 20 seconds!

The disk is from Zenrin, an original. Thanks for the posts, I will go see if I can trouble shoot it again....Zenrin support has been useless, telling me that "I'm sure you don't know where the Nav system is located, it is in the glovebox" Are they kidding? like both my dealer and I wouldn't have figured that one out????

If you have a 6.x series navigation, you have to have the app/software update disk that comes with 7.0 to update your system before you can use the new 7.x map. You must have a bum dealer because your dealer should have that update disk that they can have you run...it's a one time deal. Go complain to the dealer. You KNOW they have that update disk lying around collecting dust in the dealership somewhere. Disks that you buy from Zenrin do not include this update disk. They only provide the maps.

My 2006 M45 came with the 7.0 disk...does anyone know if upgrading to 7.3 gives you better graphics, smoother lines, or smoother scaling and rotation? when theres a body of water or huge flat areas with nothing around, along the 5 freeway, the graphics look very grainy and make my NAVI system look old school. also, I was thinking of getting the 2008 NAVI system and swap mine out. think it'll work?

In my experience w/ all teh upgrades I have done, the graphics never change. Just POI, and roads, etc.

I have an '06 M35x. It had 6.3 when I purchased it. I bought the 7.3 disc from Zenrin and it installed just fine w/out any problem.

Anybody know if the newer versions will work on a 2006 M45?
I live in Hawaii and the 06' doesn't have Hawaii on it, so it shows i'm in California. I called Infiniti and they told me only from 2007 does Hawaii show up on the disc. I contacted Zenrin USA the company that makes the Nav software and they said there is no update for my model year car. Won't a newer version disc work? Or is it a completely new Nav system from 2007? I wish I had a copy so I could try it....
