Fog Lamp Finishers

I was just wondering if someone has tried to paint these to match their car yet? I have been thinking about using some gloss black fusion paint to color match them to my black Versa. It would be a subtle difference, but would probably look better.

What do you all think?

Did it. Love it. I hated the black on the blue. (I also painted the lower grill)

I think that is the best picture I could find...as a note, these have not chipped like my grill has.

Ok cool, I'll go for it as soon as the weather gets better (and I can finally black out my head lights too!). Kimber, did you use that Krylon Fusion paint, or just regular paint with primer?

fusions for the primer (because it's cheaper than buying a regular plastic primer and easier)and then I used auto paint for the color and wheel clear to seal it.

i just used the black fusion and then wheel cleared it...WONDERFULjust like kimber, it has not chipped like my grill dissapointedly hasBUT...getting new bumpers soon so i guess it doesnt matter

after the painting was finished...and as for the pic on the car..i can't believe i didn't take any good one of them while they were on the car

ill take one for you today and post it.but it looks pretty neat cus now they are all glossy looks almost as if its part of the bumper in a way.

That's exactly the look I want. I know it'll be subtle on a car that's already black, but I want them to look like they're part of the bumper. It just annoys me on a nice sunny day when I look at the car from the front to see the dull plastic.

Did you seal yours with a clearcoat, or just the black paint? Any problems with chipping?

I took Kimber's advice on the matter and used WHEEL CLEARCOATingjust lasts longer than normal clearcoats and NO CHIPS WHATSOEVER man.wonderful to the extreme max.

Thanks Reyes. Those look sweet. I'll definately be doing that to mine too. We just need a day or two where the sun is shining here (it's been raining for awhile). Today is beautiful but I'm stuck at work, and of course it's supposed to start raining again on the weekend.

Might be awhile before I get a chance to do it.

No problem man, but just as a tip GO HEAVY ON THE CLEAR for your last coat cus...if I would've done that...im pretty sure mine would be even glossier.BUTI mean playin it safe with no runs gave a wonderful finish as well.Either way I wanna know how yours turn out.
