I just know I've run a number of different headers on SBC's and Hookers are the best quality for general off the shelf headers by far.

^ lol unfortunately my brother can drive. when he got his license he had an sw20 and kept that for a few years until buying the camaro.before the sw20 he had an s13 coupe when he was 14. we've had a go cart since we were real little and we've also ridden dirt bike for years. hers my brother on the dirtbike

we both are pretty good drivers so it'll just be down to the vehicles. a funny little stroy is a few years ago in my brothers junior year of high school. he was part of the school band only because they were taking a trip to virginia beach, after the trip was over he didnt really care. while in VA beach there were a lot of activities offered for the students such as dinner out on a boat and other things. one activity was everybody racing go carts on a track. if uve ever driven an mr2 u know it feels similar to a go cart, so he can in 1st on every course

yeah the 305 does suck and is not worth mentioning at all and yes i know the 350 swap isnt original, i never said it was the one thing that really sucks is the massive box against the firewall the top half is a/c crap but the bottom is the ducting to the heater core so it cant be ditched. the cardboard shows what the plans are for blocking it off. then an aluminum tank will be made for the washer fluid (to replace the ridiculously huge ugly one) and mount on top of the blocked off duct chamber. heres some shots of the engine bay as the wiring is being weeded out. the car is also getting new brake pads, shocks and springs, enjoy

hahah not sure what u mean by that but the dart heads were for my dad's 350. im not gonna lie, he's got enough money to do what he wants pretty much, he just doesnt spend it often ( or throw any my way). my dad's 350 should be roughly +350whp (maybe, i really have no idea with the new heads) and my brothers should be at like 330whp

alright i've been slacking on updates but here ya go the engine bay has been cleaned up and painted

there was an issue with finding a starter to work properly and things got a little messy trying to use a 73 block and a 91 transmission. it all got sorted out and the hayes clutch and the flywheel on. the bellhousing is for a 91 v8 equipped camaro and trimmed to better clear the starter. the transmission's output shaft also had to be cut about half an inch short. i dont have any pics with the bellhousing on but heres the clutch and flywheel on
teh engine and tranny were bolted together outside the car, then both were dropped in

he installed the new alternator and spliced it into the factory alternator wiring and ran it through the fender.
it took a little work but he got the distributor wiring spliced into the factory harness as well. the factory junction box was ditched for a cleaner set up

pretty much most of the wiring is done. hes using the stock e fan with a controller and over ride switch with factory v6 rad. if thats not enough he'll upgrade this summer. the heater hoses were also hooked up and while they woudl have looked better run under the alt bracket, we tried it and it kinked the hose, so this'll do.
my brother got creative with the high pressure power steering line. to go to the 1st gen 350 ps pump he needed a line for that year car, but that wouldnt work for going to the body line. so he took the stock ps line and bought one for the older style ps pump and cut them in half and had a hydraulic shop connect them.
he headers are on and the spark plugs are in. the engine was set to tdc and timed and the dizzy set correctly.

the spark plug wires are the build-yourself kind so he was working on them, as you can see they're a pain
i think i covered pretty much everything. gauges still need hooked up and then its exhaust, new hood/bumper/fender and posi rear end theres a new muffler for it which i'll get pics of later. hope u enjoyed and sorry for the long read. i'll try to be more regular with updates

this makes me want to post pics of the builds of my 327, 400, and LT1. and don't worry first thing i did with the lt1 was take opti spark off and the intake manifold. now it has a gm performance parts manifold and demon carb. this was it before we figured out the crank was cutting into the oil pan. so now it's bare block.

Ahh, I dont like how he painted the waterpump orange. Im going with an Electric waterpump, Vortec heads with bigger valves, forged 358 bottom end, built Th350 trans, I have a cast steel intake manifold to mate with the vortecs, buying a 750cfm carb, 150 wet shot, and its all going into an old *** S10.
no boost, no care.

Coming along nicely man. I'm a big fan of the Gen III Camaro's, the Iroc being one of my favorite cars growing up. I was browsing through the classifieds just the other day, not on Nico obviously, and found quite a few decent Irocs for very cheap.I'll probably get one as a midlife crisis car and grow one of those ugly mullets that only a balding guy can appreciate... thanks man, glad you approve. yeah the irocs are nice but normally more expensive. my brother didnt want one with a v8 since he'd be pulling it out so the rs (better aero then the iroc imo) with v6 was only $3k and in really good shape. most 3rd gen camaros have front end damage for some reason. update- the car started up with just a little tweaking of the dizzy. unfortunately there was no oil pressure. this means 1 of 2 things
