if you're going to have stock sr, keep the stock bov, more low key.

The SSQV is about the gayest-sounding BOV you can buy right now, but it's still a quality part. Stock recirc valve is fine for mostly stock applications and saves money/attention.

I ran the HKS SSQV for a few days on my RB20 and I must say, I hated it. It was a very obnoxious noise.

EDIT: Damn! The last two posters snuck in on me...you guys are quick tonight.

I agree. Sound doesn't matter when you look at function/performance.

I vote HKS.

PS. OP is a racist.

I run a DSM BOV. It's cheap, functional, and it doesn't scare small children because isn't ridiculously stupid loud like most of the above-mentioned parts.

A car that's designed to perform instead of being obnoxious and attracting as much attention as possible?!!! HOLY $@#%@^!!!, I never thought of THAT before!!!

SR has a bypass valve stock, which is the same as a blow-off valve except it recirculates the air back into the intake tract. This is to avoid the bogging and stalling that you'll sometimes get with a BOV that vents to atmosphere. Meaning, it's the better choice if you're mainly concerned about having your car run and perform well.

But, if you're really concerned about sounding super cool - and it sounds like you are - then go find an HKS SSQV.

the stock bov is connected to the stock smic.

i personally run a blitz but im still on stock boost.

if you just want the sound, compressor surge FTW!
