I've noticed a lot of these threads. It doesn't bother me but I think it would be nice to have all of them concentrated in one thread devoted to such an issue. This thread is for those unsure about a car they've seen for sale. Post in here to get help from others before you make a purchase.

This goes for those contemplating trades as well.

When posting, provide adequate information such as make, model, issues, price, etc. Post pics or a link to the classifieds if possible.

To those responding, don't post useless **** in here like, "damn I wish I could find a car clean like that around here"...something along those lines. Post only if you can provide solid help/info.

Mods, if you feel this thread is unnecessary, just lock it.

Hello everyone, my first post here. I'm lookin at an '01 Maxima for sale and wanted some advice on what to look for in particular with these cars. It's the SE model (20th anniversary edition). I'm not asking whether the price is right, I'll negotiate the price and decide myself if it's worth it. I just need to tap the collective experience with these cars on this forum. What has gone wrong/worn out with your Maxima?

not alot of problems with this gen. The biggest thing to worry about is usually the auto transmission, but you'de be bypassing that problem, so good luck. It looks like a nice car.

its a decent car but the price is a bit high. seems to me that its probly worth arond 4 grand. if you can get it for that then go for it.
