This may not be the appropriate place but I just wanted to post this up to let people know the trouble or experience I have had with Drifting.com.

I am in the process of doing an SR20DET engine swap in to my S13 KA24DE 240SX. I ordered the SR20DET swap DVD from Drifting.com on 12/17/07. I believe it was stated that it would be 5 day delivery via USPS.

Well, a week later, no DVD. I checked the order status and had no information on the page other than yes, I had placed and order, but no, it had no shipping information or any thing that might suggest it had been or intended to be shipped. I emailed drifting.com. Two days go by - no response from them. I email them again and wait a couple of days - still no response. I then call them and get an answering machine.

I leave a message explaining that I'd like a status update on my order and provide them with my contact number. I never get a call back or a response. I check the order status - still no update or change in the status.

So basically I've been charged a little over 20$ and have nothing to show for it. I am half-way through my engine swap and would really like to have the DVD to make sure I am doing certain things correctly. I realize 20$ is not a lot of $, but its still $, and like most people, I'd like to at least get what I paid for or get a refund.

I really do not want a refund - as that does not aid me at all in my swap, but if I can't get the DVD....

Anyways, just wanted to rant and warn you guys who might be aiming to do an SR20 swap and looking for sources of information on the subject, be wary of ordering anything from Drifting.com.

PS. Mods, if this is in the wrong place, I apologize. Please do not delete but move it to the appropriate thread.

Thanks.

my girlfriend orders clothes from drifting.com every once in a while and we've never had problems. She even ordered some right before xmas and it was fine. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the holidays and slow shipping and just being bizzy. I think you are jumping the gun here, it hasn't been that long. Just be patient.

Well, I don't mean to jump the gun at all. I just figure after two weeks I'd at least have an update on the order page showing that it is pending shipping or that its delayed because of holidays...and you'd at least expect a merchant to respond to two emails and a phone call in a two week time frame...

I am very patient, I've had parts on order for over a month, and have not complained at all about any of that, mainly because the merchants, Heavy Throttle and Enjuku, have both been very informative and responded to my emails.

Drifting.com has shown me no signs that they ever intend to ship me any thing...

I am just being honest in what has happened throughout this transaction. My main hope is that this will get sorted out, my DVD will get shipped, and I can post that it was hugely beneficial to me on my swap...but so far, none of that has happened. =(

Well I see that people from Drifting.com do post on these forums so I am hoping maybe they will see this and sort it out. I'd really like to use their DVDs and they have some other nice things on the website that I would consider ordering... but for a first impression, this blows

I'm up for any excuse they may have - holidays, out of stock, shipping problems, etc. - I'd accept any thing at this point, but the lack of communication is whats bothering me. I think its kind of sad that at this point its looking like I may have to call my credit card company to do a chargeback on 20$.

Well hopefully it all works out for the best. This could be a big misunderstanding.

I talk with sfaa555 all the time cool guy and I've never had a problem with shipping time. I did a review of their SR wiring guide and I'll be doing a review of the rebuild DVD. On my SR rebuild DVD that I got scratched up by my own doing, they even shipped me a replacement disc! I'm sure there some reason for it taking this long that they might not even know about. They are one of the more active sponsors and easy to contact. I'm sure they'll resolve it for you

Please call (877) 786-7694 during business hours 11-5PM because we can handle problems a lot faster than by email and there is no concern about spam filters.

Also, please do not leave a voicemail, just call back a few minutes later in case we stepped out or closed up for a DVD project.

Several items were back-ordered which put us behind so we are compensating customers.

To reduced this we recently stopped selling items that were difficult to reorder.

The DVD that you had ordered shipped to us several weeks later than it should have.

We stopped selling that product and we replaced it with an updated DVD that we can restock in days, not weeks.

Call us on Monday and we will ship it to you for free, just spend 5 minutes to post a review here.

There are several customers that need to be compensated so just call in during business hours if you are one of them.

On a side note, this is not business as usual. What we did was bad for customers in the short run, but good in long run. Most of the new items can be produced in house so we can keep them in stock.

Oct 9 (Setup a print shop operation)Nov 6 (Moved to our new Warehouse)Nov 21 (DVD Production) We never wanted to film between Mid Nov-January because the holiday orders but we were waiting for this feature since June and it kept getting pushed back.

Finally got in touch with Drifting.com and the guy on the phone (didn't catch his name) was a real cool guy and explained the situation to me. I should have my DVD in the next two or three days and that will work out perfectly with when I am going to be putting the SR20 in to the car.

I am not sure what DVD they were offering for free, he didn't mention it to me, but thats not a problem. I'm very happy to hear that the DVD that I ordered has been shipped and should be in soon.

Thanks Drifting.com for taking the time to fix the situation and explain what happened. Two thumbs up

Ok...I spoke about me getting my refund and all but listen to this. I finally recieved "the order yesterday" and guess what !? Its the wrong DVD. Instead of the SR Swap video which it says on the cover of the CD...Its a video of a Supra Swap KIT. The 180 DVD was cool but C H R I S T.

Ugh! I just registered on here specifically to reply to this post. My boyfriend frequents this site, so I decided to browse around for sites that sell RB shirts to get him one. Found drifting.com and ordered an RBPower shirt for him 2/8/11. I needed it by today (3 weeks is not a lot to ask). I called 2/22 and was told it would ship out because it was on backorder and they would throw in a free dvd. Well the usps tracking number I was given states that they never received the package yet. So I called today after numerous emails and I was told my shipping charge was refunded and he would look into the shipping label. Well needless to say, I still have no shirt and no valid tracking number.
