Is anyone having trouble with the interior cabin temperature on the M35? Mine seems to take large swings in temperature, and consistently warmer than it should be (about 5-7 degrees). I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal for a black car to be warmer inside, and that there are 7 different sensors on the M. He is sure there is nothing wrong - cool air from the vents, etc., etc.,, etc.

Simple problem, but surprisingly annoying for a car costing $45k

Thanks

I have similar issues and my M35 is silver. This has nothing to do with your car being black. It seems you have to set the temperature very low in order to avoid having a cabin temperature that gets too high when it is cold outside. I believe this is an issue that Infiniti should address - - the internal "sensors" do not seem to be working correctly.

My 2007 Infiniti M35 is white and it gets unbearably warm in the cabin even if the thermostat is set at 62 !!

On the flip side, the hotter it is in the summer, the air conditioner doesn't work as well as it should. There's hardly ever any cold air coming from the vents. The only cold air I get is when it's set at 60. Even when it's 99 degrees outside the fan speed does not blow at full blast. The dealer says there's nothing wrong...But I'm definately not convinced

This is an issue that we owners who love our M should all call Infiniti about. It is ridiculous that this great car can not manage cabin temperature correctly. If we all call we might get a TSB on this. Does anyone NOT have this issue??

I agree ace, a car as expensive as the M should be able to regulate the cabin temperature. I bought my son a few months ago a 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe, who's heating and air conditioning is far superior to mine...And for 25 grand less than I paid for my M

Possibly the issue with the temperature variations is with the 2007 M35. There could be a problem with the sensors

Yep--same issue with my 07. Haven't had it in warm weather yet, but I must set temp to 66 to avoid feeling like I'm in a convection oven. Dealer says system is "working as designed".I agree, for over $45K, I reasonably assumed Infiniti would have climate control down pat. Love driving the car, but very dissapointed in this and some other easily avoidable shortcomings.

That's exactly what I had to set mine at today, it was 54 outside and I was cooking inside, set on 66. Maybe what I need to do is get my Service Advisor inside the car and see if he likes it. Of course, they refuse to check it while you are there, then try to make you feel like an idiot with quotes like: "This is a very sophisticated system with 7 differnet sensors that stabilize the interior temperature based on very different conditions - there simply can't be anything wrong with it"... But of course, he has impeccable logic, why didn't I think of that?

This has to be more that coincidental that my car amoung others do the exact same thing. The only way to get cool air from the vents in the summer is to have the thermostat set at 60! I would like to say cold air..But cool air is being generous. If anything can be done, with the help of these forums, please contact me

My husband complains he cant regulate the passenger side, it goes from cool to full hot. Is there a technical bulletin on this?

Has anyone had a dealer fixed this problem?

This car gets me more and more frustrated. The last 2 mornings, we have had the coldest air of the season. Yesterday it was 10 and this morning 17 ! I had the thermostat set at 78 and it never got warm in the car. Seems as if the outside teperature is in the 30's or 40's with the thermostat set at 62 0r 64, it gets so hot in the cabin..it's unbearable. The colder the outside teperature is, the less effective the heater is. Last week I had the car in to the dealer because it's hard to control. After giving it a wheel alignment, I still struggle with the steering. I'm either going to tell the dealer to fix the problem, or ask Infiniti for a letter, stating that I have made them aware of the problem, which they acknowledge, because they took it for a road test. This is a beautiful, luxurious, 50K car, which is a piece of crap! I bought my son a 2008 Nissan Altima which is far superior to the Infiniti and half the price....This is my first and last Infiniti

RonNJ829the pulling issue you have is related to the tires on the car; I assume you have the good year RSA OEM tires. I had them also, thank god I replaced them - they seem to be designed in such a way that with the wheel alignment they pass on the pulling feeling in any of the road ruts out their; a different set of tires will make a big difference to your feeling of pulling; there has been many posts on this issue here; I'm sure that car be resolved for you; As I have noted that MANY sports car have this feeling, and most drivers that have had a sports car know what it is, and dont complain about it; I think that if your not use to this type of tire/wheel setup it surprises most and they dont like it;

With that said, new tires will change that so its a better feel for you when driving. I put on winter tires the exact same size, and its all but gone; do some searching here and you will find lots of info on this subject.

this has been widely debated here!

Yes, definitely get rid of RSA tires and put on excellent summer tires (for example, Michelin Pilot PS2, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, Bridgestone RE050A - there are others) in the summer and good winter tires in the winter (if you drive in freezing weather - even without snow on the ground!)

I consider this just about mandatory for any high-power RWD car!

I took my M45 to the dealer this morning. He said they know about the temperature problem but have no way to fix it. This is nonsense. Has anyone contacted Infinity directly? Maybe we should all contact them to get their attention.

On some forums there is a way to set up a poll. Can a poll be set up on this forum? I would like to see how many people have this problem.

I agree..That is a bunch of nonsense. If someone from my dealership told me that, I would ask for it in writing, and then see an Attorney who specializes in the Lemon Law
