I am really interested in this. as I was looking to buy this same model at bestbuy today..http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...77516 their price is $230..but that's with installation. but I couldn't imagine install is that hard? Are you able to point me to a good installer or atleast a install guide if I buy this from you? because..$129 shipped sounds better then $230 installed+tax blah blah blah..

I wouldn't know a good installer out in Cali, but any good reputable shop would be good. It is pretty straight forward and does come with a complete installation manual. The only extra part you would need is a relay for the door locks. I would throw that in of course. You could also feel free to call me or email me for tech support! Just let me know! Also, on a side note..... that $230 is with basic install. Bestbuy will bag you on the door locks. Since they have to wire up one extra relay, it will probably be an extra $50.

my car doesn't have power lock but the previous owner attempted to put an unknown keyless entry in the car. so i do have unused door actuators..but those been sitting there for god knows how long. i am going to be adding the after market one with gree/blue wires. thanks, you'll have your payment of $129 via paypal very soon.

Sweet man! You have no idea how much the "props" thing in your sig helps. It's just one more way to get the word out....... because most members, especially non 240 owners, even know that I exist. You can call as late as you want, but after 10:00pm Central you might have to leave a message. Halo 3 starts at 10pm!

The shock sensor is built into the main unit. It is a little black protruding dial on the side.

O.k, I would recommend headrests from Vizualogic. I have found them to be the best quality and screen resolution. Comes with two RF headphones and the main module has multiple inputs for auxiliary sources. A dual DVD setup retails for $2799, your Nico price is $1799 shipped. The single DVD setup retails for $2499, and the Nico price is $1649 shipped.

I took it to a local circuit city to have it installed, they just called me to tell me I need actuators for the door locks?? They said they don't have them in stock so the keyless isn't going to work when they're done. What's the deal with that?

They are retarded! That's what sucks about most Circuit City's and Best Buys...... non-experienced installers. They are 3 possible locking systems in early 240's, and I've seen one type ever.... which is a single wire setup. Can you lock your drivers door by pushing the lock plunger on the passenger side? If so, then you do not need an actuator. You will just need the relay setup that I gave you. If you can't, then you will need one in the drivers door, assuming there is nothing wrong with your factory actuators. Give me a call at the number in my signature and we can figure out what type of lock system you have. You most definitely will not need 2 actuators though.

Yeah I have the setup where whatever you do to the driver's side it does on the passenger. Locking the passenger side does not lock the driver's side.I told them to just leave the keyless alone and when I get the thing back I'll just do it myself. Pretty sure they can't mess up the alarm part.

Can you lock OR unlock the drivers side from the passenger plunger? If not then you need one actuator in the drivers door. I have never seen this type on a 240, but I know they exist. Mine for example can unlock either door from either plunger. This is the only type I have ever seen on a 240.If you need a actuator, I can ship it out Monday.... free of charge!

If the doors are unlocked, and I lock the passenger, it does not lock the drivers side.If the doors are locked and I unlock the passenger side, it unlocks both. Doing anything on the driver's side replicates it on the other side.
