I've got a RE4R03A sitting in bits in my workshop. I also have a Patrol bellhousing sitting there as well. I'll dig it out and measure what you need. From memory it is a circle pattern so all you'll need is diameter and bolt spacing. Let me know specifically what you want and I try and get it for you.

I'm really looking for center to center measurements starting with the center bore for the oil pump housing. I know the 10 bolt holes are not evenly spaced. The distance between the top two and the bottom two are further apart than the rest giving you an even divide with 5 on each side.Any information on this will be quite helpful.

I took the dimensions off of a 240SX transmission, which is reported to be the sameI can give you the file if you wish. I need an email address, and what file type you need. do you have a CAD software? PDF reader? do you want the dimensions as if you are bolting to the bellhousing, or the transmission (mirror images of one another)

I have a Q45 auto bellhousing in my junkpile. I'll see if I can get some measurements this weekend for you.

while I am emailing these out, does anyone else need a copy of the bellhousing flange drawing? It's dimensioned to be cut manually, but it's easy to change if you have access to an NC machine. Email me at: J Sean Cummings (at) hotmail.com no spaces i can get it to you shortly.

Sorry but my bellhousing is not usable as I cut 2 chunks out of it to weld to my Z32 trans. I still have the rest of it so I took some measurements. This is from a 92 Q45 auto. This is looking at the bellhousing from the front to the back. Front being engine mounting surface and back being trans. The bolt holes were measured center to center and all measurements are approx. These are the measurements of the bolt holes that go through the bellhousing into the transmission, not the engine mounting holes. The opening in the middle is approx 7-3/8". The top 2 bolts are approx 3-9/16" apart. The middle 2 bolts are approx 8-1/2" apart. The distance from the top left bolt hole to the bottom right bolt is approx 8-7/16". The distance from the top right bolt hole to the bottom left is approx 8-3/8". Hope this helps, I wasn't really sure what you needed but let me know if you need any more numbers.

Does anyone know the differences between the RE4R03A trans in the Q45 and the RE4R01A trans found in the VG powered nissan trucks? I plan on doing a VH swap into my xterra and im thinking about swapping the output shaft out of the 01A into the 03A so I can bolt on my transfer case and kindof make a hybrid auto trans. Any info on this would be appreciated!

If you put a VH45DE in, RE4R01A will bolt to the VH bellhousing. Then you might be able to use the RE4R01A torque converter bolted to the VH flexplate. The input shafts might be different length though. I think that going this route, you'd have more options available as far as transfer case availability in junk yards.Just my $.02

I'd just be cautious running the RE4R01A (VG trans) behind a VH. People blow them up regularly with 170 hp. I'd be very surprised as well if the RE4R03A (VH trans) could accept a TX10 transfer case. Maybe the rear of the case can be swapped out for a 4WD truck transmission.

When researching this for my fronty I read that it is possible to swap the tx10 to the Q tranny. I believe that the gentleman with the VH45DET Patrol is running this setup IIRC. I know it's been done before.

Oh I dont know if my first post was pretty clear. But thats what I want to do tyler. I want to run the VH and the RE4R03A trans and swap the output shaft out of the R01A trans into the R03A trans so I can bolt up the adapter plate and the transfer case. I wouldn't dare run an RE4R01A trans behind an engine that puts out 300 ft lb of torque. From the looks of it it looks like I can physically bolt up the adapter case and the TX10 to the RE4R03A but im just worried about the output shaft difference if there are any which I wouldnt doubt that there are.
