I'm not familiar with a 1005 code. Are you sure it isn't 0105 or 1105?

1005: EGR solenoid valve circuit. I also seen it as an egrc selenoid. I think under obd it is p1400. dealer was no help for parts all they said is they have a listing for 3 selenoids and need the part number because their database lists them as selenoids and doesn't state any additional info.

It is one of those two solenoids, but I can't remember which off the top of my head. Follow the rubber hose coming off the bottom of the solenoids, and see which one leads back to the EGR (below the throttle body).

still having trouble figuring out which one it is. One is black and the other is actually brown not green. off the top of your head is the one connected to the boost sensor the egrc?

found it....was the green end capped solenoid...totally dead i get no ohm reading at the terminal. I also found out what the other 2 selenoids are if anyone needs to know.

code 1400 is the map control solenoid. don't ask me why it comes up egr solenoid in the codes. for anybody that can use this information. it is located on top of the engine and has a green connector

Hello I have a 95 maxima that is giving me an egr solenoid error, Do any one knows which of the two solenoids is the one for the egr, there is one mounted on the motor in the bay where the knock sensor is located the solenoid is green; the other solenoid is by the battery in the front of the motor and it is all black in a metal bracket.
