I'd be willing to bet it's the hose that connects from the fuel pressure regulator to the hard line leading to the fuel filter. Get a flashlight and check for a puddle of fuel at the very back of the valley. The hose is just a short 2-3 inches and sits sorta vertically. Usually, you can barely get to it with an angled phillips to tighten the clamps a little - probably won't solve the problem though. The hose material has shrunk and just won't seat properly.Woot! wrote:I have been doing a bunch of searching and can't find an answer. I recently have found a major fuel leak under the plenum after the AC started stinking like gas. It is a consistent stream coming from one of the fuel lines under there. So here is my question: Is there any way to fix that leak without taking the Plenum off and replacing all the other hoses under there also? Also if anyone has any pics of where the leak usually comes from that would be nice.
I only lifted the plenum 2" up just enough to get to the leaky fuel line; I didn't take it clear off. The engine only has about 70,000 on it so the other hoses aren't too bad but will need replacing in the near future.qship96 wrote:If the fuel hoses were as brittle as you say, chances are so are all the other 30-40 hoses under the plenum, and 1 or more cracked while you lifted plenum.....why you do all hoses,KS,and harness as one job.
I'ts not the MAF connection. One of the throttle cables came off on the passenger side and is kinda loose. Could it be something like that?Q451990 wrote:I'm certainly not laughing... that's a tough one... there are so many things It could be. Do you hear any noises like vacuum leaks - maybe around where the plenum bolts to the runners? Maybe a bad MAF connection? Tough to say... probably time to start retracing your steps...

I got lookin around and found that one of the seals on the plenum was slightly off so I fixed it and now my Q purrs and no more gas smell!!
Thanks guys for all your help. I took pictures of most of the process that may be helpful to others down the road.
Would you like me to post them?
