I'd like to get some new rotors. Looking for in-expensive rotors that can stand up better than the stock rotors to track days.

Best I've found are Roto-Tech rotors over on nopionline. Has anyone ever gone with these rotors? / Does anyone know of anything that might be a better deal?

auto zone works fine

rotor wear really depends on pad compound, there wont be much if any difference between 2 rotors

Cool, thanks... Now how about some (race) pads that wont fade on track?

Anyone have a favorite race pad?

I'm getting race pads for the track, like HPDE and such.

So unlike street or autox, I REALLY want that higher temp limit. Also unlike autox or street driving, great initial bite is not a concern of mine, maintaining good bite throughout the length of a track session is.

what i was asking was if youll be using them on the street or switching them when you get to the track

you dont want a full race pad because youll be locking up all the time, a nice intermediate pad like hawk hp+ will do you for a while, then when youve got the tires to handle it you step up to a full race pad

You don't need R comps to handle race pads. Brake modulation is always key even on street and intermediate pads.

I can fade HP+ in a hurry. I need something that will last more than a couple laps.

And I'm planning to swap out the pads and rotors when I go to the track.

Yeah, got on the phone with them this afternoon after getting out of a final...

I went with XP10 up front and XP8 in the rear.

The only thing that I worry about is that my friend who tracks his CRX in HPDE 2 also runs xp10 front and xp8 rear... He can fade them when having to brake early for traffic, and that car is A LOT lighter than the 240.

Oh well, if it is an issue... I'll just have to rig up some brake ducting to the fronts to keep them cool.
