If you're going to paint, I think red is the only color for calipers. Especially for a white car. What profile are your tires? 35?

Could you take a picture of how they sit in relation to the fender lip? are they flush? what offset did you get? Im looking at a set of 19x8's and Im not sure what offset to go with.

A couple things...

1. love the wheels, its all about being different and those wheels are different, nice job on not doing typical chrome wheels like everyone else.

2. Your wheel diameter is 25.75, thus your wheels are slightly over rotating... (stock is 26.3),,, 245/40/19 would take you to 26.7, which is a bit closer to factory specs (on the other side), In addition, that extra inch would slighty better fill up the fender well... right now it looks a bit awkward.

3. It will def look better IF you decide to drop it an inch with lowering springs.

All in all, I still think it was a great choice in wheels... my wheels will be very different from most rims out there... I just can't comfortably afford to do them until January ... baby on the way!!!!

RJD,

Thanks for the feedback, you're dead on, the fender gap is challenging. Since Eibachs aren't available for a few weeks I'll be measuring twice and making a choice between Pro and Sport springs. Don't really want to do camber mods if I can avoid it, but may have to.

To be honest, pictures don't do it justice, they're even better in person.

Hey Miss_L,

I'll take a pic of the wheels from the rear of the car tomorrow. But, just looking at them they are pretty much in line with the inside of the lip of the fender, I suspect that I could have gotten a +35 Offset in there with minimal issues.

I'll send pics ASAP.

22 lbs for 18's is not that heavy depending on the width. I almost bought a set of MAAS 17"x8" with a 5 spoke design and they were 30 lbs. Fat a$$es... I now have 18x10's on my 240 and they only weigh 27 lbs and they're 2 inches wider than the 17's were.

windhaven, I would really like to see a shot down the side of the car to see the fitment with the fender.

LBC,

Mine are a set of fat A$$'s. Unfortunately sometimes you have to trade looks for weight.... and, since i'm not planning on time trials.

The Moda's weigh 32lbs, although I didn't weigh before and after, they basically felt about the same new vs. stock.

Sorry, not really feeling the rims. Maybe the drop will change that.

I'm partial to the 5 spoke wheels LBC. The first ones seem like they are too busy, too much going on there.

LBC,

I like the first set better than the second. But, even then, i'm not partial to that many spokes. But, given my choice you could see why I feel this way....

RJD,

Did measurements today, looks like the Pro Springs are the way to go. The original pics I did were on a slope and it exaggerated the gap. Once on level ground the front still is bigger than the rear, but there wouldn't be any way I could do Sportsline's without a bunch of extra work. Pro's are the way to go, get 1-1.5 inches and be happy.

Just adjusted the picture in my sig, look there for a better gap representation.....
