This is a thread dedicated to information about the Angel Eye Headlight Mod for the 94-96 Q45. The headlights come off of a 96-00 BMW E39.

I bought my project headlights off of EBay for $220 shipped.

The high beam harness fit perfect but I had to cut the low beam harness off of a 91 Q and wired it in to fit. The body work was done by my uncle in Alabama. He said it took a few days but it wasn't hard at all to fab the area needed, so make sure you take your Q to a reputable body shop if you choose to do this mod.

The angel eye harnesses have seemed to go missing right after I got my high power leds all wired in... so no angel eyes for a while I guess.

Hope you enjoy! Questions and comments are welcome!

So what exactly was done to your fenders to make room for the lights? I see it in the pics, but I can't understand how it was done. They look great though.

not sure how to describe it but the fender was cut, then a new piece was formed and welded on, then bondo and paint to match. I can take closer pics of the area 2maro.

everything looks nice.

have you tried the eyelid covers? they hide alot and will make the top of the headlights to the hood look more together.

Let me know when you have some free time next year because I want to see this beautiful car. I promise I won't steal your IMPUL kit when I come up.

Instead of fender work, could the gap be filled with Audi-style LEDs?It wouldn't look as good in the day time, but neat at night.
