Maybe I'm behind times or just over looked the information somewhere but thought I would maybe bring light to the subject. I just personally found out that...

Tomei lists the soild lifter set under the same part number for the following:

VG30DETTCA18DETRB25DETRB20DET

RB25,20,VG30,CA18 Solid Lifter- Use when exchanging hydraulic lifter to the shim adjusting system- Must use solid type camshaft- Height of the base: 1mm- Small base circle diam: 29- Corresponding to the TOMEI camshaft of 9.25mm or 10.25mm lift- High strength by cold forging lightweight model approximately 35g (STD 57.5g)

For those who want to run 10.25mm lift cams there you go. I remember there being another xreference to another set or vehicle but someone would need to fill that in.

ahhh if I only knew then what I know now I would have done things a little differently with my valve train. If I knew then, I would have gone right for the RB26/30 swap and slapped a GT42+ on it.

If you want to run higher lift than 8.8 or so, remember that you need to machine notches out of the head for the cam lobes to pass through.

I wonder how much machine work labor hours are required to do that proceedure?

It really wouldn't take too long with a die grinder and sanding kit, but I'm talking like 4 hours plus time to sand the edges smooth etc. The big issue you run into is that you have to pull the head to do it. Metal flies in all directions and gets into everything. You'd probably want to pull the valves too just to be safe. Gets pretty labor intensive, so definitely a winter project. And for you guys that don't have winter, I think you are all bastards

Florida = No winter

NRRBA = Head is off and sitting on a bench

No money = I have nothing but time

Guess I fall into that catagory pretty quickly
