I've been looking forward to Half Life 2 Ep 2 for so long. Now that it's nearly upon us I'm getting twitchy. It's going to be awesome. Big, open maps, the new car, and good old clean, perfected Half Life 2 gameplay. I can't wait.

And Portal looks spectacular.

Team Fortress 2 is insanely fun.

My Halo hatred had subsided. Now that I've played the Halo 3 it's back stronger than ever. I don't feel like typing it all out again, so here.

If you're buying the Orange Box for PC you can give away the extra Half Life 2 and Ep 1 you get, so if you have a friend or somebody who wants HL2 and/or Ep 1, you can just send it to them via Steam. So it's not a complete loss.

Oh, and I'd take HL2 or Far Cry over Halo any day.

But just in case it isn't:

Valve has never developed a console game prior to the orange box contents. Gabe (Newell) has even come right out and said he thinks the PS3 is crap.

Valve are about as much console lovers as Square are PC lovers.

The reason for the missed release dates has to do with the fact that Valve likes to release games that are finished, instead of rushing development to meet ideal release dates as has become the moronic cash-cow custom these days. The PS3, the console they have been having trouble with, has been pushed back exclusively...those delays haven't affected the other versions.

I been playing Portal. It is awesome, the automated voice that guides you along has some pretty funny lines.

I'm not gonna play Half-life until I have time to spend several hours playing it lol. I dont want to play it 30 min at a time.

I beat Portal this morning before I went to sleep (tells you how short it is...took me about 2 1/2 hours) and loved every damn second. Brilliant game. Every bit of it shines.

Just about to boot up Ep. 2 now.

yup, short game... other then the room with the rotating plasma ball shooter/4 sentry guns on poles. I kept trying to put a portal up top, and jump into one down below to launch across the gap....I tried that SO many times (I actually made it once....) until I noticed the switch with no platform on it.

I was playing the advanced levels now....man that one with the sentry guns in cages gets tough.
