Ive been in Japan just over a week now and have been loving every moment of it. I've moved in with a Japanese family which has been an experience I'll never forget (and I still have another 4 months until I move into my own place here).
Top 5 experiences so far (in no particular order):-Riding the train to school during Tokyo rush hour-Living with a Japanese family-Being a minority-Ordering food by pointing (and not knowing exactly what your ordering)-Going to super autobacs
So on to pictures...
At first this wasnt even a trip to Super Autobacs, some friends were showing me this giant arcade called the Warehouse. It is the most amazing arcade in the world, if just for the "theme" its done up in. Entering it is more like an amusement park ride than walking it.To my wonderful surprise, an automotive delicacy was right near by.Lets play some good games before we hit the auto storeAhhh, that hit the spot. After I first entered I was a little disapointed, because for the most part it looks like a pepboys inside (other than the cleanliness and good service). Then I found the good stuff....$5000+ worth of Defi gauges behind less than a centimeter of glass....Are those 15" floating rotors over top of 14" floating carbon rotors? Why yes they are. There were tons of other hot wheels, but I felt weird taking pictures out in the open with all the staff watching. The had individual sections for all the manufacturer tuning divisions (nismo, TRD, mazdaspeed, etc....)Now out to the parking lot and garage to take some random pictures of some cars starting with a tasty Spec R S15:Sweet...Dirty silvia with crappy wheelsHard to see, but a sil-80Only a type S, but hot anyways4 door type R?R32 GT-RGod I love chasersvery well done altezzaThere are sport-wagons EVERYWHERE here
Thats it for now. I'm going to be going to the tokyo motor show and tokyo auto salon too and will take tons of pictures for you guys. If I don't reply in a timely manor its because I have limited internet access and the big time difference.
Some extrasclean STI wagon right next to the house im living inReally crappy picture of a really nice s14 I saw while in akihabara
