What do you guys think about the prospect of an Altima convertible? I've heard it's under consideration. I personally love the idea.

Would have to see it because I try to picture it, and man it looks wrong. Will have to see the real deal.

I'm not personally interested in an Altima Convertible, but I think it's an obvious choice on Nissan's part. I can see an Altima convertible selling VERY well.

Look at the existing models in the class:

Toyota Camry Solara Convertible (enough names?)Pontiac G6 ConvertibleChrysler Sebring Convertible

All of these are popular, but they are also all mind-numbingly boring and also incredibly ugly.An Altima convertible would blow them all out of the water.

Definitely an interesting idea. I'd have to see something before I pass any judgment.

Hardtop convertible for the win! I do hope they make it! You did a nice shop on this one

What I don't want to see is a soft top one that messes up the lines of the gorgeous Altima Coupe.

lol

Impressive photoshop work. Didn't see that coming. I tried Photoshopping a coupe but couldn't do a good job; I'm pretty new to Photoshop.

Does this mean that the trunk gets even smaller or do they remove the back seats? If the do decide to make it, I hope its something like the Volvo C70.

The PS looks great, it gives it a Ferrari-ish look. However, a 3.5 with hardtop could go for well over $32k-$34k+. I would love to see a hadtop convertible though but it will most likely be a soft-top if it ever happens, even the Z didn't get a hardtop convertible. All of it's competition's a soft-top and it will be more consumer friendly price-wise. Plus I see Nissan making a G convertible before the Altima Coupe.

I like converibles, but I am just not able to visualize this. I don't like the look of the 350Z Convertible. The trunk is too long. I like the look of the coupe much better.

Here is a comparison image...

I really dont like the look of the Z Roadster when the top is up, its looks awesome when its down. In my opinion they should have made it a hard top, that would make it look 10 times better. The Altima Convertible has potential though.

As designed....

Roadster = a car you can put the top up in bad waether.

Convertible = a car you can put the top down in bad weather.

I found a new image of a possible Altima coupe convertible. I does look a little photoshoped with a G6 or a Solara but it's too lowres to know for sure.

I do like the hard top on the G6.Cause each piece of the top, had these really nice looking lines that popped out.

I would like to see one in the future for the Altima Coupe.
