Hello guysI am having some issue with the injector that I am hoping to resolve.I have a black top S13 sr20det with a t3/t4 turbo on it. No cams but all the other supporting mods minus injectors.Car runs fine but it appears that I am maxing out my injectors.I am still running the stocker and have some larger injectors on the way, I was trying to attaint the highest boost level on stock injector, turns out to be 7 psi on my motor.I get about 83% injector duty cycle.-Question: Aren’t the stock injectors good for like 250 to 280 hp? I have a walbro fuel pump , fuel pressure has been set , mines ecu, safc2, clutch is not slipping ,wideband is showing a solid 11.5 at full boost., timing is set at 15degree dead even. , compression has about 160 across +/- 2 at most.I used my second mine ecu and tried it and same result, I even replaced the stock injector with another set of 370’s that I had and same thing.I have raised the boost to 8 psi and the logger is showing 97.33 injector duty cycle so I am back to 7, Car is not slow but let’s say that stock sr at 15psi of boost will most likely take me down.
Can someone please tell me what’s going on? Is my turbo out of efficiency at that boost level (custom garret T3/t4 , stage 3 exhaust wheel , .63 exhaust , 57 trim , external wastegate ) Will raising the fuel pressure or raising the safc fuel map at hi throttle allow me to run higher boost till my injectors arrive ( ETA: 3 more weeks ) . Answer will most likely be to stay slow till my injectors arrive and I am fully aware of that but I would like to understand if this is normal.
