This morning I hit a water puddle on the onramp and managed to spin across several lanes and pinball a few cars before eating the median twice. I am fine but the vert is a few feet shorter. She is beyond repair despite still running. Amazingly all four times I hit were the front and everything from the doors back is still fine. I'm leaving on a trip but will prolly start having to part it out after the 22nd when I get back. I just got it running correctly last month too. Soo much time, soo much effort.

Thats so sad! When it was wet, i was going around a turn and took it and spun out. . My left back wheel was completly wacked out. Cost me $900 to repair. Sorry to hear your vert isn't fixable.

Damn dude, that sucks. Hopefully no one was injured.

And I'll take the passenger side quarter window guides (what ever makes the window go up and down straight).

man, sorry about your vert, but the fact that you came through it relatively unscathed has helped assuage my fears about letting my wife drive a car with half of the body panels as my car.

as far as being out money invested, I'm SURE you will recoup it from parting it out on here. I know of several things I could use but will wait for the appropriate time to commence with the begging

man i feel your pain. back in may i totaled my vert too. an accord, grr, took a left in front of me, like RIGHT in front of me, no time to manuever, going bout 50mph. it crumpled real good, front wheels all mashed in, but hey i looked and found another one not far from me and turned out to be a better car. so there's light at the end man, good luck!

You guys are awesome, thanks for the concern.I had quite a bad week and you guys made me feel better.A girl I was seeing told me to buzz off right after the trip and my best friend who was supposed to meet me in Chicago/ provide a place to stay canceled out after I flew in.To bad I only had liability...Here's what it looked like at the impound afterward.http://filer.case.edu/jml39/240sx%20convertible/I was able to drive it off the highway afterwards but shut it off immediately afterward cause the coolant was gone.If someone wants the whole thing, make me an offer, otherwise I have to start parting it to buy another car soon.It has 4 new Goodyear triple treds.A brand new O2 sensor, knock sensor and fuel pump I installed the week before. It has a boot and mounting piece. Top is ok, the window leaks a bit after heavy rain.Less then 1 year old Fuel tank, some weatherstrips, mp3/cdplayer, power antenna, speakers.

that's pretty smashed up. they are designed to do that though to absorb the impact energy, probably a major reason you are ok. i wasnt going all the fast when someone turned in front of me and mine was pretty mashed up too.

if you do end up parting out your car, ive been trying to get the driver's side quarter window components for awhile now. all my rollers are broken so they dont ride on the guides anymore, thats pretty much all thats wrong with my new vert.

After seeing those pics I'm suprised you were able to drive it anywhere.

but yeah, you won't have any problems making some money back from parting it. I know I need the trim across the top of the windshield, and probably the hydraulic pump.

I looked it over this weekend and it's taking in water now, I must've bent it more then I thought, lol. I'll buy another, but not right now. I'll graduate and have a job in the spring, perhaps then.

It is time.I'll try and take pictures and get conditions of parts this weekend when I return home. Ask away, I'll see what I can do. I can't guarantee I'll be speedy in getting the parts removed/ shipped with school and work but I'll see what I can do.

I mainly just need 2-3 of the snap screws on top of the rear panels. Might think of more later.

Yes, I still want it as long as there's no chip or missing portion. Crack is fine. I also want convertible top up/down switches. Are they available? My Paypal is so ready. Just let me know...

Sorry to hear about your vert man! It truly is a shame that your car is lost but thank God that you're alright! I was wondering that if you decide to part out your car if you would give me a price on the whole trunk latch assembly shipped to 91709 to help you on your quest to buying a new one. Thanks.
