I have a portable garmin I use it once a month or so. It works good I just don't need it. That's the reason I did not get the factory one in the car. Also if you have 2 cars you can transfer the portable or you can go fishing or biking you can take it with you.

I just bought the garmin nuvi c360. Wicked piece of technology. Can recieve and make calls through it, and you can even send text messages. I like it because I can stow it away when I am not using it.

That's why I like it. I just don't drive much where I need it. I mean the factory one got the live trafic update which is good if you drive thru big traffic every day. I live in Guelph it's like 100k+ the population. Our bigest trafic is friday afternoon people go up north thru Guelph to the Bruce Peninsula.

I don't want to say the factory GPS is crap....but.....it's crap. Nothing beats a Garmin. Not to mention that it's portable: can switch cars, go with you on a hike, anything. Mine even has soothing music that it'll play if you hit bad traffic. Honestly, it made me even more pissed, but it was a nice touch lol. Dealer will cost you probably 2 or 3 times what a decent Garmin will, so it has my vote.
