  Alexander Arms

I am looking through the Midway USA catalog and I ran across Alexander Arms ammunition that I must admit I have not heard of. They have listed the 6.5 Grendel and the 50 Beowulf. Anyone heard about these rounds?

nope.

those oddball rounds like that confuse me.

some of them are pretty badass though.

probably heavy loaded sub sonic stuff.

"Now you may ask if I regret it, if I would do it differently if I could, if I would take it back. NOT A CHANCE!!!!! I went for it. I put it all on the line. I always will. I knew what the consequences would be if I failed, and I was willing to accept them. So any of you reading who might be feeling a twinge of sympathy, don't. I made my decisions, and I accept the consequences. I'm no victim. And to those who are thinking about preaching at me, don't bother. I won't hear you. I haven't accomplished anything in this life worth remembering by playing it safe. That's boring to me anyway."

The 50 Beowulf is used in AR15 uppers.

Alexander Arms makes the upper and the ammo. Its fairly well accepted so hopefully it won't suffer the same fate as something like the 357 Maximum.

No, but I love firearm-related stuff that is named after characters from Beowulf. I want a big gun named The Hrothgar.

I thought it was Grundle... anyway, I hear they are coming out with a Beowulf movie.

Beowulf and Grendel was rough in its shooting but it was a good movie. I enjoyed the movie.

Future weapons last night featured a kit for the M4 that converted a 5.56 M4 to the 50 Beo in a matter of minutes. The host of the show just took off the upper receiver on his M4, pulled the 50 Beo upper receiver out of a bag and attached it to his lower receiver. He loaded it up and rock and rolled on a Ford Taurus Wagon. Full Auto 10 rounds....
Was interesting to see. Apparently, the rifle/ammo has been used in Iraq.

If I was going to get into 50 cal stuff, I would go for this:

http://www.bohicaarms.com/

$995 for some real 50BMG fun. Awesome deal.

Thats the point, you can use your standard AR lower with the 995 dollar upper.

That is why its pretty cheap for a 50bmg.
