Driving it like a race car for the full tank I still got 260+ Do a tune up including your 02 sensor. Sounds liek 02 sensor maybe knock sensor is bad because it would retard your timing.. feel like it has power just bad mileage?

I have a 97, I get AT LEAST 280 miles per tank. I've stretched it wayyy past 315 before running out, so yes I think you need to look into a tune up.

Do you just look at ur fuel gauge cuz if u didn't kno those are horribly off.

To find out real gas mileage u gotta do it the old fashioned way. I get about 350 on average.

Miles should be around 300-350ish IMO if not

damn i through my english is bad!

Well do you mean your SRS or CEL?

it can be many reason! try to drive like a grandma for a full tank and see what happens, if it still the same then I will pay to get the light check.

do you have alot of stuff in your car?

200 is very low for a KA!

I just checked this out on my s13 last full tank... 360-ish kilometers to the tank (Don't know it in miles)

Seems pretty low, but I do like to rev it out and have fun driving all the abandoned backroads around here. If my o2 sensor or knock sensor was done for would there be any other symptoms that would point me towards better fuel economy/power?

come to think of it pretty recently it really seems like im losing significant gas mileage, i have to put around $20 in it every week or so, and i dont drive that much anymore because of traffic. also it idles at 1500 rpm's with no a/c on. wtf!? i checked my 02 sensor using the ecu, it flashed about 5-6 times like it said it should, so i dunno. strange, my 91 camry's gas mileage seemed to go down too..maybe its the climate??

I'm getting around 223 on a full tank maybe a little more. I remember when i first bought my car i had horrible gas mileage, I just changed the O2 sensor and the fuel filter and that made a big difference.

You might also want to change the engine temp sensor. It maybe telling the ecu that the engine is cold and making the motor run rich. They're not very expensive, 30bucks I think. When I first got my 240 I was get about 19mpg. Changed o2, temp and did a tune up and got 24 mpg.

i usually fill up 12 gallons (when the needle is a lil above the E line) and i get around 270 miles. sometimes more.

which calculates to around 22-23 mpg on the average. i think you should check your spark plugs first, get ngk iridium 9's and it'll help considerably. before, the previous owner threw in some ghetto bosch platinum and i was getting like 17-19 mpg. also get ngk plug wires and lastly an o2 sensor if that doesn't fix the problem. oh and make sure ur tires are inflated correctly.

Your car is an automatic transmission, and the gas mileage on autos is worse than 5-speed, especially if you race it around because it only has 4 speeds.

The average wear and tear on a auto trans will also affect your mileage, so I wouldn't worry about it too much (though why the heck you have an auto 240 is beyond me...).
