Are these the same wheels?R32 GT-R wheels (16x8, 30 offset 205/55/16 tires front 225/50/16 rear)steaminhotryce wrote:Have to wait until I get a chance to wash my car. The car is so dirty right now, it's embarrassing.
Apparently, I care. That's why I'm asking.... Under 20lbs is too broad. My S14 SE wheels were under 20lbs. So are the Z32 wheels.yokota180sx wrote:who cares how much it weighs
im saying under 20lbs
Umm...they were bought a few days ago. I'd weigh them, but I bought them with tires already mounted.yokota180sx wrote:from your sig, your ****s stock anywaysbuy some and weight hem
If you have the R32 wheels that uses tires of that size, you most likely have the GTS-T wheels, 16x6.5 +40. They are the same spec as the S14 SE wheels (which are also used on R33 GTS-T). I've seen quite a few S13s fitting the S14 SE wheels on their 5lug converted cars, so my bet is that they'll fit on yours as well.240sxHitman wrote:205/55/16,i have the same rims and would that be a good fitment for a s13 hatch all around?
oh ok. do the gts-t and gtr r32 rims look the same but just 1 is 16x8 30 and the other 16x6.5 40?steaminhotryce wrote:

You can probably search for S14 SE wheels on S13, or R32 GTS-T wheels on S13.
Here's a useful link to an S13 owner doing a 5lug conversion and fitting the R32 GTR wheels to his car. He also has Z32 calipers and coilovers. And he also had a hairline clearance to the coilovers like mine. Hope this is will of usefulness to someone.

The R32 GTR wheels are indeed made of magnesium. I've also heard rumors that the R32/33/34 wheels were forged by BBS, but I don't think the rumor is accurate. Looking at the wheels, the markings only indicate Nissan which leads me to believe the wheels were forged in-house. And yes, the wheels are around 15-16lbs each. I'm pretty sure now that they're more likely to be 16lbs.2ndlife wrote:I've heard the r32 gtr rims were made of magnesium and forged by BBS. The 17 " silver R32 Vspec that looks like BBS mesh are really rare and perhaps made by BBS. Although I've never looked at the inside of one to verify the writings. I'm a big fan of the stock R32 GTR rims and brought my set over here to LA. The set is mint and wanted to put it on a restored drift-planned Cressida but gave up on changing it to five lug. Couldn't let it sit doing nothing so ended up putting it on our newer model sienna van in the meantime. With fat tires, it did look pretty good. That GTR is actually in Japan. I travel back and forth between Japan and LA so I can only drive it a few months a year. I thought about bringing it over to US a few years ago but the headaches far outweigh the benefit I think.steaminhotryce wrote:

Thanks for your input and WELCOME TO NICO!!
Nice GTR by the way I see that you're in LA. Is the GTR registered?
Thanks for the info! I was also able to find that they weigh 16lbs each with LOTS of Google searching. Though I never came across any forging info. After looking inside and outside of the wheels, I came to a conclusion that they were forged in-house by Nissan since there were no other wheel manufacturer markings on it. Can you tell me how you came about your sources?Bronze MFP wrote:lol, the red car up there is mine. after doing a lot of research i found that the gtr wheels (16x8 30 offset) weigh in at 16lbs even. they are forged by rays, as rays does all of nissans high line wheels (think 350z track wheels)
for being 8" wide, thats a pretty lightweight wheel. stock se wheels are 18lbs and they are only 6.5" wide.
your wheels look very nice. i wish mine had come with all the center caps. i'm looking for 2 more if anyone has em
