I guess I'm one of your "retards". I had to sell my beloved '89 240SX back in February. I posted it here because I wanted someone to have it who would take care of my baby, and I think the guy who bought it from me will apprecite it more than some random person on craigslist just looking for a cheap car. No one was hurt by my post, no one will miss me when I'm gone, and somebody ended up with a great car. Why would you want to keep someone like me out?
If you want to limit the supply of cars and/or parts available to your community, stick with your policy. Otherwise I think you should find another way to weed out "spammers/ retards".

I completely agree. I am going to be selling my 97 240sx se. I have posted on this site before, but not very often. I love my car, the only reason I am selling it is because I am thinking of buying my own house and am trying to save as much money as possible. I take good care of my car and would want someone to buy it that would do the same. I figured if I posted it on here, someone that appreciates the car would buy it. There aren't too many 97 240's around.
The concept is simple, it's a rare occasion when a "normal member" doesn't have 10 or more posts, but it is common for spammers to join online forums and drop 3 to 5 "For Sale threads" all over a forum. Preventing them from posting in the Classifieds section helps make their posts stand out and thus removed.
Now the fact you felt it necessary to openly (see below) criticize/judge one of our rules on a forum you don't participate in ... I'll leave that judgment up to the regulars of NICO .

Normal meaning people who are here on a regular basis,part of the nico family! we have to look after each other. seems the only people complaining are the ones who are never visiting here and just complaining.

Soo I place an ad, and it gets deleted...I suppose due to this rule? I've been a member for years, referred a number of active members, never felt the need to post about anything myself, and now I try to post a classified ad and it gets rejected. You should consider looking into the user a little more closely, and "grandfather" some users in.

I have to agree with the other replies here. I've owned my 1989 240sx since new, have often read the posts here. Now that I am unable to drive it anymore, I want a good home for it. I guess that is not here. Too bad. With 52000 miles on it, I really don't want it to become just a beater.
