Nu Finish Scratch Doctor and Meguiar's ColorX

Anybody use either one of these products before? Were you satisfied with the results?

The reason I'm asking is because I have some scratches here and there on my vert, along with some unpleasant oxidation/water marks...mainly on the trunk and hood. Any input would be greatly appreciated. If you've used another product besides the two I've mentioned, let's hear about it.

I've used Meguiar's ScratchX. It takes out swirl marks and water marks, but not deeper scratches. It's decent, but it's no polishing compound.

I'd like to try the ColorX, too, so

Yeah the scratches are minor, along with the swirl marks and what not. The oxidation and water marks are the real eyesores.

Anybody else with input?

for the hard water spots, check out the thread about the vinegar (used to remove tree sap) - I linked an article about using vinegar prior to a polish/wax to get rid of hard water spots & oxidation - you can also search Google.

For the Meguair's stuff, I actually attended one of their detailing days where they show you how to use most of their products, as well as let you try basically all of it on your & other people's cars . Check out the Meguair's forums. Pretty bad ***.

Yeah I did check out that thread but the reason I asked was because I heard these two names a lot recently so I was just wondering if anyone here tried them out. Today I picked up some ColorX...for 8 bucks you can't go wrong. When I get the chance, i'll see if it was worth it...and provide some pics/feedback.

It's funny you say that. Just this morning, I got a nice little bruiser on the left side of my front bumper...tight garage space FTL...even though it was my fault for not paying attention. I'll have some pics of that also. It's also ironic that I had a dream last night about breaking something...just didn't know what exactly I broke. Well...now I know.

Yeah I took some pics a while back after I gave her a wash. She's just a stock red vert. Lots of plans in store for her though. I just need to get a new daily driver first...along with a new job and a $hitload of money.

Like 94_240sx, I too, am an anal perfectionist. I am waiting for the right time to get this project started. I plan on going all out. You have no idea...
