Nissian 350Z or 240SX, which to buy?

I'm considering buying either. But, I don't know which to buy. I've been surfing Nissans website to what I'd need to hit some nice high speeds and to drift. If you guys would kindly give me the 411 on them, I'd be in great debt.

Someone should really help me out with this. I have no bloody clue to what I'm doing.

I don't really know what you meant by that but I doubt Nissan will provide info on "how to hit some nice high speeds and to drift."

Anyways...

If you can afford a Z in its top trim..get it. If you want a car to beat around on the track...get the 240 and dump money into it. But please if you're gonna hit high speeds and drift your way into a pole, get neither.

I noticed...

You might wanna stick with your Cutlass Ciera before making a serious purchase. Do some research first. This place provides a great amount on info.

BTW putting that you hack computers in your profile isn't the brightest of ideas...

Hell, the kids on this forum don't need 240s either. Everyone should get a Yaris and cut their balls off.

Well, considering that the media twists the word HACKER into ZOMG EVIL KID WILL PWN MY BANK ACCOUNT, while it is definitely not the true meaning of it, I don't think this is a bad idea.

A real "hacker" is someone "hacking" code to make it do cool stuff, it has nothing to do with illegally gaining control of computers you are not allowed to use.

my opinion...get the 240...practice drifting.
when you think you have it down, then think about getting a car that you'll end up dropping alot of money on.

i would honestly go with the 240, but that is just my opinion. You can get them for a lot less and build them up to be even better(based on specs) than a 350Z, and still have some of the money that it would have cost for the Z in your pocket.

Again, that is just my personal opinion. You have to decide what is right for you.

in my own opinion the s chassis is the way to go. There is a reason why those cars are at the top of so many drift events. Dont get me wrong, the Z is a great car. What it really boils down to is preference.

i would say it boils down to how deep is your pockets ... a base Z would cost you around 17k ..thats with no mods and you have to build it from there. or you have 2 other options buy someone elses already hooked up car , for around 18 you can find one with a RB26 or rb25 in it or a really built one with a SR20 or KA-T , its totally up to you.. ive ridden in a 350 let alone drove one around .. its nice and all but i prefer my 240...and i love my 240 more than i loved my evo.... this is coming from a guy who had a 06 MR that was modded....but as my nissan buddies said to me all the time... " why do you drive a car that is made by a company that makes TV's "

Why drive a old car when you got the ability to get a new car??? Anyways enough BS talk lol. The Z would be a way better choice than a 240 because of newer technology, better built and the handling is awesome. Though the car is a bit heavier, kills a little bit more gas, eat tire faster and cost alot to replace, at least you don't got to deal with busted bushings and a squeaky car. Don't get me wrong though, 240 handles great, gets reasonable avg. mpg, somewhat light, but its just a bit slow for a 2.4 liter engine. Hmmm ever thought of wrx
